John Glenn Pass Away At 95

I just heard this and I don't know if we have a 2016 in memorial thread but if we don't it's here.

His legend is otherworldly and now, at age 95, so is John Glenn.

Glenn was the last of the Mercury seven. Now they are all passed away. Too bad they saw the dismal state of the present NASA and US space program.



Let's see when the last Apollo astronaut that has been on the Moon dies too. Likely we will be low Earth orbit still then ...or perhaps not even there, when the ISS has to be scrapped.



And let's see when people truly start to believe we never went there. Perhaps not even to space (if the worst extrapolation becomes reality). Post factual World they say.

Huge bucket of wind! John Glenn was a hero who lived a great life.

149 combat missions in World War Two and Korea, 122 as Marine Aviator, 27 as Air Force. 59 missions with VMF-155 flying the F-4U in WWII, 63 with VMF-311 flying the F9F in Korea, came back for second tour for 27 more with 51st Fighter Wing flying the F-86, in which he shot down 3 MiG-15's over the Yalu River in one day.
