Don't you want an inverted space race between the powers of the world?

The Russians are in the lead now; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kola_Superdeep_Borehole

I just imagine Ivanka Trump's campaign speech in 2024; "We're going to build a deep, beautiful hole, and we're going to make the Mole People pay for it" Anderson Cooper; "Mole People don't exist" Ivanka;"The hole just got ten kilometers deeper, we'll find them".

And after a while, The Hole would gain massive cultural importance, it would be a place where you got rid of all your problems, it would be a nice place to sacrifice left handeds, vegans, people in yoghurt commercials, and those people who think they can sing, but really can't, you know, the kind of over the top wailing kind of souly hysteric scream singing those fifteen year olds in any local singing contest do. Or maybe just a place where you could write your write your woes on a note and drop it down the hole.

Mankind went to the moon, just to shove it in the face of the rest of mankind. The Hole would actually serve a purpose for us all.

Seeing as how you mentioned the moon landings. Funny how men went there before they got to the bottom of the oceans. Until very recently more men had stood on the moon than travelled to the bottom of the trench. Might even still be true.

The only problem with renewables is energy storage. We simply haven't figured out the battery technology yet. Once that happens, you can power everything with wind, solar, tidal, whatever.
SJWs are a natural consequence of corporatism.

Not just the storage, The transportation of power is a bit lossy too. Especially in DC like a lot of PV is.
There are ways such as the hollowed out mountain we have in Wales where water is pumped up to a huge internal reservoir during times of over production and released during times of peak demand to power turbines and stop the grid failing at half time during the FA cup when everybody puts the kettle on at once for a cuppa. Not very efficient way of doing it though.

Tesla and SpaceX dipshit was supposed to be working on that before he started talking about how we're living in a simulation

So all the nerds who pin their hopes and dreams on private space exploration are doomed to have their dreams crushed, eh?

I think he is more of a born multitasker. Look how many projects he is in right now, tesla, spacex, hyperloop, the battery thing. I'd probably lose it on the second big project but he seems to be able to juggle them.

Two things:

Earth should be treated as a limited resource on this I agree.

However, that should come as a secondary concern to establishing Eve, our second homeland.

Also a third; white man invented flight and sixty years later the white man landed on the moon. Obfuscate us at your collective peril.
