Been hearing some rumors about Hong Kong legalizing gay marriage. It is said the Trump administration threatened to forgoe consideration for military support against China if they didn't legalize it. What I have found is it is an initiative set in motion by Obama. They have legalized it this year. I don't know but this might be another BOOM win for the Trump admin.

Saying Hong Kong belongs to China is like saying BC belongs to China. It doesn't. It is a western city established by westerners. They want nothing to do with China. China just wants what China wants and tbh fuck China.

Hong Kong was established by Anglo traders, smugglers and pirates. When they founded the city it was a swampy island berift of any Chinese. The Anglo trading families built that city. Even though it was signed over to the Chinese as a sovereign provence, China had nothing to do with what makes Hong Kong a great city and has nothing to do with what makes Hong Kong great today. China is a mess and will soon be in a hard place anyway.
