Somebody will always be buying gold. It’s value would come into play whenever the next ‘currency’ is devised.

In truly dire straits, you might sell it when you absolutely have to during a collapse and immediately turn in your deutchemarks for food.

Eagle got it; gold is just something easy to carry, hide & has intrinsic value, buts mostly it's a hedge against inflation. I got old cars, and other popular collectibles too. Real estate could be good but ever-increasing Property taxes are a fear.

We're halfway through October, what's going to be the surprise?

Not sure, but Nov 4 is going to be the start of an attempt to shutdown the entire country.

They want all commerce and travel to stop. Going to be wild.

Goal, hold USA hostage till Trump gone

‘October Surprise’ will be a market crash.
Crash won’t happen till people loose all faith in US. By all rights the dollar should have crashed decades ago. It will crash - but I’m not seeing it within next year or so.

Nevertheless- buy gold - bc we all know the ship is taking on water.
I wouldn’t be so sure about that. Only put 10%, at most, of your net worth into gold and silver. BTW silver is the more undervalued of the two. Of that 10% I personally have 30% in gold and 70% in silver.
By gold - I mean any hard asset likely to retain value in dollar crash.

Okay, either way I just want people to see my method because it’s rational. I’ve seen people that I know go nuts and buy too much hard metals and reducing other holding missing out on great gains. If they would’ve taken part of their gains and bought metal over time then they very well would’ve had near the same amount of gold and silver plus large holdings in the market. I hope that makes sense.
There is a time for good men to do bad things.
