I predict that, whoever wins, a record amount of people will not have seen it coming.

‘October Surprise’ will be a market crash.
It would have to happen now and dominate the headlines, but I agree, that would be the easiest & most effective attack.

Covid was there attempt at that and a good attempt it was. Even the Fed thought the US markets were fucked, however three years of POTUS Trump was so robust it built in some great immunity and the markets rebounded, they just couldn’t push it far enough to kill the Market. Hell the Dems are still trying which is why Wicked Witch Pelosi has not allowed a second relief package to go through. She‘s still trying to get the markets to collapse. You guys saw her interview on CNN right. Even Blitzer is bashing her now.

Crash won’t happen till people loose all faith in US. By all rights the dollar should have crashed decades ago. It will crash - but I’m not seeing it within next year or so.

Nevertheless- buy gold - bc we all know the ship is taking on water.

I wouldn’t be so sure about that. Only put 10%, at most, of your net worth into gold and silver. BTW silver is the more undervalued of the two. Of that 10% I personally have 30% in gold and 70% in silver.

So, I have a question. If the dollar collapses, what makes people think stores will start accepting gold bullion as legal tender?

They most likely will not. The hedge is on value of the metals themselves, which you would have to go to a dealer to exchange for whatever acceptable currency works in your region during a monetary collapse. A lot of times the collapse will go up and down like a true market. It will not go straight down like the average person thinks and that’s why dollars will still have some value. That’s why I said 10% of your net worth at the most. It’s not a get rich play, it’s a self made safety net to get you by until things settle down.

I hope that makes sense.

That makes sense. Most people frame the whole gold hoarding thing as a way to operate during an apocalyptic scenario. As we all know, if we have to barter for goods in order to survive, no one is going to want a shiny rock in exchange for a wheelbarrow full of potatoes.
