Sounds correct. I think they literally drop them from helicopters.Ph64 wrote:Nah, we drop bombs that cost huge amounts of money… they drop bombs made from a $50 steel drum, another $50 worth of fins welded on, pack it with some explosive surrounded by whatever little scraps of metal you can find, and strap a land-mine on the front for a detonator.TheReal_ND wrote:Assad is smart though. That's what puzzles me the most. He's not some crack pot like the media paints him. He went to school in London and become a doctor. He didn't even want to go back to Syria until his family died and he had to go back and run things. His mother said he wasn't suited for the job. He may not be a good leader but he's not a crack pot. I never understood the barrel bomb issue either. We use similar ordinance I think.

Saddam Hussein's gold discovered in T-54 Iraqi tank by British military restorers
DamnA military collector discovered five gold bars worth more than £1m ($1.24m) hidden inside a restored tank purchased for £30,000, prompting theories it was plundered by Saddam Hussein's soldiers during the first Gulf War in a 'Three Kings'-type heist.
The bullion was buried inside the fuel tank of the T-54 armoured vehicle that had previously belonged to Hussein's Iraqi army. It is believed that the bars may have been looted from Kuwait during the 1990 Iraqi invasion, according to The Sun.
The tank's owner Nick Mead and his mechanic Todd Chamberlain had wrenched open the fuel tank at their site in Northamptonshire fearing they might discover firearms. ...
Instead, they were stunned to find five gold bars each weighing five kilos.
"We didn't know what to do. . . . so we called the police," Chamberlain told The Sun.
... IBTimes UK believe {the gold is worth} closer to £1.2m, based on current market prices.
Mead had recently purchased the Russian designed, Chinese built, tank on eBay. ...

The Cold War 2 mongers are playing a new (old) card: the Monroe Doctrine.

The article is hilarious. Threatening "globe-shaped devices" abound.
I do not want the Russkies outpacing us in globe-shaped device technology. Lets give General Dynamics a few ten million to work on our own globe shape technology.

You're thinking small time, a few ten million$ is a study, we've got to start a crash program to produce gold plated mil-spec technology demonstrators, at least a $billion, followed by a production contract for globe shape weapons platforms - say an initial 100 over 3 years at $1billion each... Don't worry, the price will drop by at least 40% by the time we hit the order for the last of the 1500 we "need" to be dominant in globe shaped tech.Calculus Man wrote:The Cold War 2 mongers are playing a new (old) card: the Monroe Doctrine.

Fags. You can just melt it down. They'll be lucky if the U.K. lets them keep any."We didn't know what to do. . . . so we called the police," Chamberlain told The Sun.
