The whiners understand that whining is winning, so I'd expect them to just whine and whine untill they win.
Cadet Rapone’s statements bespeak either a severe mental or psychological disorder, or a genuine commitment to values and ideals wholly at odds with those of West Point and the Army. If the former is true he is dangerously unbalanced, and therefore not suited to military service. If the latter is true, he is a coward and a hypocrite who refuses to discontinue his association with an institution that, as he sees it, is a tool of an inherently unjust, immoral, and imperialist state. He may at some point grow out of this phase but the Army does not have the luxury of allowing him the opportunity to sort out his beliefs while charged with the sacred duty of leading American Soldiers.
How far does this sort of thing sometimes run up the chain of command?

The Senate is seeking information on the background of Spenser Rapone. So, it could result in hearings.
But for the military.
The US Army G3 would be in charge of over site of what happneed at West Point.
Ft Drum, likely have there own investigation as well as the 7th Rangers. Rapone was booted from the Rangers for failure to meet standards. How he got a West Point appointment after that is a huge failure.
Bottom line Sec of the Army is getting daily updates, pushing it up the chain from there. US Army Senate liasons are coordinatin moves between the Army and the Senate.
