If it was Novichok, and it was mixed properly, then the lack of lethality would leave me to believe that they probably only used an eye droppers worth, and it was absorbed through the skin or ingested into the stomach rather than inhaled. Inhalation Novichok would have killed everybody in a certain radius in very short order, the fact that it didn't, would point to a very small amount in liquid form only, probably diluted as well.

Australia starting to chirp the fallacy now; "Russia has used unlawful force against the United Kingdom!"

Not technically the case here, didn't even kill a British Subject.

Still, I like it, fifth generation warfare all the way to a nuclear conflagration, bypassing the conventional forces altogether.

Not enough damage to set anything off this time around, none less, conceptually, it's definitely got possibilities for the future.

See, the saving grace in the Cuban Missile Crisis was that the Soviets never crossed into West Berlin and the Americans never bombed Cuba, which, a momentous high risk gambit either way, but with 5gen, all sorts of new plausibilities open up for a real humdinger to kick off with the micro variables punching so far above their weight class in this day n' age.

Gettin' a Novichubb dog just thinkin' 'bout it. Ladder of Escalation boner in effect.

Sure, but they were released the same day. To get a real humdinger going, it's going to take more than that, mind you, when playing with N series nerve agent, anything is possible, that is some hairy fuckin' shit, all it would take is one slip up and that could vortex this shit right into nuclear bonerville is no time flat.

Because nobody knows the formula, nobody actually knows how volatile N series is in its combat configuration, but apparently, the Soviet scientist who was killed working with it thought he was safe, then it foamed up somehow and aerosolized, and he was dead before he could get to the door.

Never know what mayhem may come to pass when playing with this sort of exotic shit, it's bleeding edge stuff from the 1970's, but 1970's is still bleeding edge when it comes to nerve agents, because all those programs are basically frozen in Cold War time.

I don't buy the Fermi Paradox, the universe is a big place, in both scale and time, I don't think the true Goldilocks zone is as prevalent as Fermi's calculations. There more to it than just heat and water, there's a lot more variables in play.

Moreover, even if northern hemispheric countervalue nuclear exchange, that's not really an extinction event, America would suffer 100 million dead and take 60 years to recover, but it would recover in the end.

Everybody gotta die sometime, Red, in a hundred years all new people, so I wouldn't sweat it too much, embrace the shuck.

On the one hand we have already beaten the Fermi paradox.

On the other hand we are totally going to annihilated ourselves. Only get so many rolls before snake eyes final shows.
