Remember, on Friday congress resolved that all these government motherfuckers will get back pay FOR NOT WORKING.
The contractors, and those in the private sector dealing with the government, won't.

So government workers are bitching about three weeks of paid vacation at this point, while the media has spilled nary a drop of ink for the private sector labor that will be receiving NOTHING for the same three weeks of non-work.

...but won't anyone think of the government workers?!?
Pfffft.
Don't know about your media but we've been getting stories every day about how it is harming non-government workers.
A recent one was about a guy who had spent a fortune setting up a micro-brewery and was ready to open shop but is now waiting to be granted his alcohol license. He had no idea when he was going to be able to start earning an income and pay back his loans.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Must be nice to have the luxury of not caring because it doesn't impact you personally.

Whomever told you this was full of crap. Liquor licensing is handled at the local level.

The longer we keep it shut down, the easier it is to prove that we don't actually need the government to be the size it is. Stay closed, Fed, stay closed.
Why are all the Gods such vicious cunts? Where's the God of tits and wine?

It was an interview with the guy himself.

Federal government has nothing to do with liquor licensing.
