Oh by all means, I'm not saying logistics is not important, it's all about logistics, you have to continue to push resources to the startline, including more homo sapiens sapiens to replace the ones who are randomly killed, I'm just saying, competence is not the issue, in the grand scheme of things, once they're over the top, they'll know what to do, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to untrain them, it's all in the manual, we got this shit down to a drill, and in the end, you're really just tapping what is already there, you just have to get it to stop thinking, so it can let go, and then instinct can take over. As to safety, that's just a delusion, if you're worried about safety, that just means you're thinking too much, thus, you just haven't been untrained properly yet.

Just a little pro-tip, specs, all those "safety checks" we drill into them in the military? That's not really about safety, that's all about obeyance, that's an obeyance check, we know that which one will be crushed under the tracks of an APC or which one will be blown up by a mortar round cooking off, that's all random, what will be will be, the reason we make them do "safety checks" is to test for obeyance, bond and kill are baked into the cake, but once we unlock homo sapiens sapiens untrained, it can get pretty feral about shit, hard to keep em on the leash once unleashed, so contant obeyance conditioning and checks, that's what all the chickenshit is about.

If a handful of them happen to screw the pooch from time to time and blows themselves up on the battlefield? Ah well, price of doing business, 15% of all casualties are blue on blue, so just chuck that on the pile and file it under; shit happens.

I understand what you're saying, but my job is literally safety. The equipment can't harm anyone due to defect.

Good job, specs, wouldn't want anybody to come to harm by defect, wouldn't be sporting, wot?

When they come to harm, it should be by instinct and will alone, I get you, you're a good soldier, stone cold killer, I love that.

Zero fuckin' defects, when this harm comes down upon them, it is no fuckin' accident, muthafuckahs; Oorah!

Good soldier, probably. Stone cold killer, nah. Not in the dna. Unless my family was threatened, of course. Then I'd feel very bad that the enemy brought it on themselves. ;)

Tactics schmactics, specs, it's all about logistics, it's all about you, you're the stone cold killer, the one who doesn't think, you just deliver the force to the startline, and then let instinct take over, I was all wrong about you, specs, you've been perfectly untrained. I fuckin' love that. That's hot. I'm gettin' a fuckin' chubb dog just thinkin' about it. Oorah.

Don't be a pig. That said, of course I'm guilty, probably more guilty than most in that I'm directly involved. These are my people, though, and I'm guessing that you know all empathy goes out the window when mine are threatened. I would be less forgiving than most military at the end of the day. Sow every acre with salt and all that. That's something I actually don't understand about men: how you can fight and then it's over. It's never over to women, at least most women I know. Once you've threatened me you're the enemy forever. Vendetta is real and everlasting. I admire soldier's ability to have compassion for the enemy and to feel common ground with someone you may have fought. Maybe it's just cultural on my part.
