My wife says they are ok. She was aware of the damns about to be released as well. Says she hasn't slept for four days. She's a good mother. I wish I could help them but she won't even tell me where they are.
Traffic rules probably don't matter now. People are going to head for the overpass.
Good way to die. Typically you can ford water deeper than your exhaust pipe if the motor is kept running. Once it stalls out you can't get it started again with too much backpressure. It's never a good idea to ford water that deep though.
Harvey appears to be picking up steam over the gulf. News is downplaying it. Mandatory evac for Ft Bend county which is not far from me at all. Brazos is going to breach the levees soon. Addicks is releasing water as it fills to capacity and they expect to release ten to fifteen feet more flood water into areas down stream away from me. Cypress is completely flooded. Spring is worried that lake Houston will overflow causing catastrophic flooding down stream but they are dry in some high spots for now. I'm sleeping on the overpass again tonite most likely.
