If I want full features, I will just go back to Kubuntu.
All I need is NetBeans for Java development and a python editor. I don't need a bunch of crap. I can customize it later.
Fuck Java - go with mono and C# - it's a better framework by far.
LOL, no.
For just playing around with deep learning these days, the game is played in Python. Java is far better than C#, though. I had to build a ray tracker from scratch in grad school in C#. Ain't nobody got time for that. Java scales up. It's clean. C# is like the Windows 10 of programming languages.

My guess is you haven't touched .net in a while if you're claiming Java is cleanrer than C#.
As much as I hate Microsoft - they got JITC right - Java is like frankenstein (botch but good first attempt) and .net is like the T2 terminator.
Fuck it - Real men compile code in ADA.

Depends on the virtual machine.
For very high-level coding, though, there is no comparison between the two. In java, most design and architectural patterns translate perfectly. You can create very abstracted software architecture much more easily.
The problem with C# is that it's a performance-oriented language trying to do higher level roles.

My preferences, in order of joy:
Java
Lisp
Python
C/C++
Scheme and Prologue get not love?
Scheme is just Lisp for kids. Lisp does anything prolog can do. I can literally write prolog in common lisp using macros.

FYI- there's a Ubunut Gnome distro that come stock with Gnome 3 or 2.....also, Unity is pretty much dead - next LTS Ubuntu ships with Gnome 3 standard.....so why fuck around with Kubuntu? Why even go with Ubuntu, et al.? Why not just go pure Debian?
