I listen to it every day. Clearly, you do not.

What does college have to do with following and understanding politics?GrumpyCatFace wrote:Fox is anything but inept. They deliberately say stupid shit to drum up controversy. CNN is just a pack of retards. MSNBC isn't as crazy as Fox, but definitely taking the other side on every possible issue.
NPR is our equivalent to the BBC. Their listeners are anything but low info - I'd wager that the demographic is FAR above average education and intelligence levels. They do take an occasional swipe at Trump, but because of the diarrhea rolling out of his face, not because he flies the red flag.
If you had any genuine interest in opposing propaganda, you'd be railing against the cable networks and little else.

Not much. I said "more educated and informed". I guess you could take that to mean 'higher degrees', if you want. I should have used the word 'learned'.Hwen Hoshino wrote:What does college have to do with following and understanding politics?GrumpyCatFace wrote:Fox is anything but inept. Non profit is racket in of itself.GrumpyCatFace wrote:FIFYclubgop wrote:All your beliefs about guns, you thinking the DoE was a mutaween, your undying devotion to the NON-PROFIT CORPORATION for public broadcasting. If you consider NPR to be the same as Faux Noise or the Clinton Corporate Network, then we really have nothing to discuss here.
Yes, I see faults in their reporting all the time, but I'm not a fucking idiot, and I don't let it sway my opinion. It's still the best option available for news.
Whatever you think my beliefs are about guns or the DoE are your own business, I guess.

All their reporters report for other outlets why should we trust them more than any other outlet? I mean on a fox news panel they have like 4 people and 2 or 3 of them will be NPR contributiors. Are they somehow more trustworthy when in an NPR studio? GCF obviously believes so.GrumpyCatFace wrote:I listen to it every day. Clearly, you do not.

I gave up on NPR.
I don't think they think they are biased, but anybody inside a bubble thinks they're open-minded if they're simply close to the envelope. I've never heard even 1 Breitbartesque piece on NPR, even a Limbaugh-like piece. They're vanilla SJW all the way.

So, breitbartesque or Limbaughlike is good .. bad? The honesty is the issue, if you're going to be a hack be honest about it.Martin Hash wrote:I gave up on NPR.

Honesty? Dude, I'm just saying that willingness to examine all points of view requires that all points of view get some air.clubgop wrote:So, breitbartesque or Limbaughlike is good .. bad? The honesty is the issue, if you're going to be a hack be honest about it.Martin Hash wrote:I gave up on NPR.

All the Jewy, touchy-feelie shit gets plenty of NPR time, no need for more of that.
p.s. I use the word "Jewy" not as a pejorative but as a kind of story type that emphasizes feelings, and lots of people of Jewish descent seem to write them. I use the word "Zionist" for people who want to take over land in Palestine because God, and those people are probably more Protestant than Jews. "Jews" I got no problem with, I'm a WestCoaster.

I'm thinking of a new agency that has corporate sponsors and leans hard left.GrumpyCatFace wrote:[If you consider NPR to be the same as Faux Noise or the Clinton Corporate Network, then we really have nothing to discuss here.

Which one is it?
