Financial Times: Artificial Intelligence Closes In On The Work Of Junior Lawyers
“The number of lawyers who have been leaving to go to start-ups has skyrocketed compared to 15 years ago,” he estimates. Many are abandoning traditional firms to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities or join in-house teams, as the once-unthinkable idea of routine corporate legal work as an automated task becomes reality.

About 114,000 legal jobs are likely to be automated in the next 20 years, a 2016 study by Deloitte predicted. Technology has contributed to the loss of about 31,000 sector jobs. The report predicted another 39 per cent of jobs were at “high risk” of being made redundant in the next two decades. ...

What is a religion if not a big virtual reality game played by millions of people together? Religions such as Islam and Christianity invent imaginary laws, such as “don’t eat pork”, “repeat the same prayers a set number of times each day”, “don’t have sex with somebody from your own gender” and so forth. These laws exist only in the human imagination. No natural law requires the repetition of magical formulas, and no natural law forbids homosexuality or eating pork. Muslims and Christians go through life trying to gain points in their favorite virtual reality game. If you pray every day, you get points. If you forget to pray, you lose points. If by the end of your life you gain enough points, then after you die you go to the next level of the game (aka heaven).
And who denied we are heading into a dark age?
You can be an atheist and still be an uneducated moron. A well-paid moron paid by a declining news outlet too.

It's hard to believe there used to be a time about a century ago in which atheists were the intellectual powerhouses of the academic world. This stuff we have seen in my lifetime is a joke.
Go read Nietzsche or Sartre, and compare that to what atheists wrote in the past twenty years or so.
The really good stuff that was published recently is not really polemic. It's when they are trying to argue something positive that it comes out sort of okay. The attacks on religion really ruin them. For instance, it's difficult for me to reconcile the Richard Dawkins I see in debates with the person who wrote The Selfish Gene.
