I've been to the homes of some poor immigrants from all over the world in some pretty cramped conditions. No one of them could afford restaurant meals or semifinished food. Didn't matter. Always a pot of some kind of stew on. It's for fucking pride. You got the whole thing with empowerment and entitlement all mixed up. You need to get a grip or perish for fucks sake.
Two year ago I went to The Gambia in West Africa. Most people lacked refrigerators and few had electricity. They went to the market, bought what was needed for a meal, and cooked it right away. Cheap ingredients like chicken, fish, rise, potatoes, tomatoes, stock cubes, onions, lemons and beans. They made great food. It's not that fucking hard.
When I was young I used to visits some friends who lived in the kind of hippy communes that were popular in the '60s and '70s. Same thing there. Always a pot on the stove with a simple hardy meal. Where's your dignity?
I wish I could find the image from /r/trashy where someone was complaining about EBT restrictions. They were already mad that you couldn't buy the precooked food at the grocery store, and were getting more mad that you wouldn't be able to buy junk food as well

There's a reason why fat people are the poor now while every other time in history its been the other way around and its what you touched on. There is a culture of laziness and zero dignity
No man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the legislature is in session

You're problem is you have children brought up by children starting families of their own. They all end up eating like children when the grown ups are away.

If you are on EBT, or whatever they call it today, I would love to have more veggies and fresh foods on it. They don't offer enough.

Guys, I don't mind a little banter but I don't come to the Trump thread to read about food and I don't post about Trump in the food threads. Kindly fuck off with your food news.
Klaus Eberwein, a former Haitian government official who was expected to expose the extent of Clinton Foundation corruption and malpractice next week, has been found dead in Miami. He was 50.
