Re: Fake News
War in Yemen? John Brennan at Carnegie
President Obama's chief adviser on counterterrorism is mum on whether the administration is planning a covert war In Yemen.
Is Yemen the next war?
Last month, in The Dreyfuss Report, I wrote about recent news that the United States is considering a major escalation of its military activity in Yemen, specifically giving the CIA permission to work with US Special Forces to set up “elite US hunter-killer teams” and Pakistan-style drone attacks on terrorist targets. As I wrote then: “By bungling into Yemen with a massive US covert operation, the result is guaranteed to be an intensified crisis that will collapse and split the Yemeni government and lead to a Somalia-like state of disorder.”
So it was with interest that, on Friday, December 17, I went over to the Carnegie Endowment to hear John Brennan, President Obama’s chief adviser on terrorism, talk about Yemen. Brennan, you’ll remember, was Obama’s adviser on intelligence during the 2008 campaign, having served for a quarter century in the CIA. He’s a specialist on the Middle East, political Islam, and Saudi Arabia, and between his leaving in 2005 and joining the administration in 2009, I interviewed him several times. His main point then: that the United States shouldn’t be fighting a “war” on terrorism and that the military is not the most efficient instrument to deal with a problem like Al Qaeda and its allies.

"Planning" a covert war in Yemen? We've been in one for years now...
You just don't hear about it. Priorities y'know.

Re: Fake News
I really like how Trump had his war all put together back in 2010.
He's a real planner.

Our media is basically propaganda right now. My gut feeling is that a good portion, maybe even a majority knows this. Even if you support what they push, most of the liberals know it's heavily skewed. I doubt they trust the media, they just like what they are telling them so they go along with it. The Red states in the middle of the country are probably tuning out the news media. The news media still thinks they are relevant and doing what needs to be done because that is all they hear in their echo chambers in the big cities on the coasts. They still don't understand what Trump winning the election means for them.

Yeah, and it's not going to change. The Establishment is just going to keep after it. The American people don't believe the Russian Conspiracy Theories, and are uninterested. Trump has 88% approval amongst GOP voters (probably 2% of GOP in DC), and North of 55% with Independants.Ph64 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 27, 2018 7:23 am"Planning" a covert war in Yemen? Number One issue for Independants, the Economy, and that's been strong as hell, probably looking at 5% GDP growth this Quarter.

Damn dude you're still on this? I'm not an idiot, I understand where you're coming from, taking the wide frame lens and looking at it as a whole it's silly to call it "Trump's war" because you're right, he didn't start it. It isn't "his" to own with that perspective, there's plenty of blame to go around (2018: Senate rejects ending US support of Saudi-led campaign), nevermind Brennan and the rest in 2010, but Trump is the figurehead in current year so it falls on him to do something about it. Which he is. (Trump to push Saudi Arabia's crown prince on solution to civil war in Yemen)Okeefenokee wrote: ↑Fri Jul 27, 2018 7:46 amI really like how Trump had his war all put together back in 2010.

You've argued this dumb point for two pages to the point now where the same article is being posted again as a counterpoint to the original counterpoint of the same article that was originally a counterpoint to the Fake News coverage of "Trump's war" in Yemen and not the point that you're trying to point out

Re: Fake News
Immigration is THE issue.
Time and again polls (and election outcomes) show the American people are sick of this shit, and yet the MSM and politicians ignore them.
The economy literally is an immigration issue at this point.
I'd shut it all down except for people who want to serve in the armed forces. If you want to see who makes a hardcore American citizen, check out people who enlisted and became citizens.

Re: Fake News
It's good that someone wrote an article about how someone else hasn't said anything about Trump's war in yemen.
but where are the articles about there not being any articles about no one writing any articles about Trump's war in iraq?
that's the real question.
