It must be a complete coincidence that the state releases felons with minimal to no cash (homeless, tweakers) then jacks tax through the roof for services like .... the police ... who in turn catch and release broke felons ... who damage more property and squat more buildings ... which causes people to call the police ... who need more money to field the calls ... which means more tax raises ...

If only they had just a little more money. This time it'll work, for sure!

A friend of mine had tweakers in his barn.

Went out there and held them at gun point til the cops came.

Cops came and took them away.
On Monday, we asked what happened to them.
They said the jail was too full so they just let them go once they got back to town.

Hasn't bothered to call the cops since.

Friend says, next one goes in the wood chipper. Should make good fertilizer.
People will only take so much before they start taking care of things themselves. Who's gonna miss some homeless tweaker?

City Council member advocates for buying $350,000 medical van to be possibly used as safe injection site

... A report released by Health Integration Strategist for the city stated it will cost about $1.8 million to get the van up and running and up to $2.5 million to operate a mobile safe injection model.

“We should move forward with the purchase of that van as we engage with the community of a possible location and with a reminder that it’s a fixed location, if those dollars are in hand right now, and if I am reading the information correctly, if that is the most cost-effective and most expedient way to create a potential site,” Mosqueda said.

With city leaders now under heavy scrutiny over spending accountability Q13 News asked Mosqueda whether spending $350,000 in taxpayer money for a van was the right thing to do before community engagement and even before finding a location for a mobile safe consumption site....

Problem: Seattle has too many homeless drug addicts.
Solution: Let’s pay $4.8million for a year of mobile heroin van service to accommodate their addiction.

Queue the inevitable calls for “the rich” to pay their “fair share” (aka all) for this disastrous idea. Maybe it’s time for another special tax on our employers, it has been a month.

But what if you used that money on an escort service instead?

I hope we get to hear the stories of the hunger games hobo hunt in Seattle before all the lines go down.

What if you tied all these programs to public service? Clean up the streets, plant some trees, etc.

Seattle lacks funding and plans to repair the Magnolia Bridge

... Nevertheless, the Seattle Department of Transportation doesn’t appear to have any plans (or money) to fix the Magnolia Bridge, according to The Seattle Times. It was damaged by the Nisqually earthquake in 2001. A new SDOT study revealed that it would cost upwards of $350 million to $400 million to repair. Experts believe a full rebuild is necessary.

The Magnolia Bridge is expected to wear out in the 2020s, or in the event of an earthquake, whichever comes first. This is not inspiring much confidence in Magnolia residents, who have to drive over the wretched thing. It handles 17,000 vehicles a day....

Seattle has no money or plans to repair a bridge that connects some ten thousand workers to the city.

Of course, for “the homeless” King County has a billion a year, especially since large portions of it can simply vanish into the coffers of third-party organizations who remain completely unaccountable. But for projects that citizens actually need - nothing.

I’m sure they’ll find their $4.3million for the mobile heroin van though.

This is how progressives run a city.

Where Seattle is going........................ Roads, we don't need roads.

This is typical anymore of leadership in America, it's a virus that has crept out of Washington DC to infect us down to the Township level.

Who needs bridges, I'm guessing Elon Musk will be announcing his new flying electric car next month. Sure, maybe he'll lose money on every one, but he'll make it up in volume eventually, especially with govt handouts for being so "green".
