Employers like it. Should I say more?

And the truth is that even with high unemployment you can have sectors that have a shortage of labour. Either the unemployed don't have the skills needed or simply you don't find people willing to take the job...for the salary. Enter the migrant worker.

With migrant workers, they wouldn't be there if there wasn't the job opening for them at the first Place. Refugees are a bit different thing.

And btw, you are correct, Nuke. By the simple law of demand and supply, they do drive the wages down. Assuming it's a job that truly cannot be done anywhere else in the World.

Somebody has to check the toons into a wall every so often around here.

Glad to hear it!

I've peeked at it. Looks not all that much different than here, but they have a lot more people. I checked the UK terror attacks and most of it was the same type of debates we've had over years at DCF and now Hashwerks.

Wouldn't the wages be higher if there were a scarcity of labor? Furthermore, how is it possible for arguably the best all around educated peoples on the planet, to not be qualified in ample measure? If Europe is so leftist and labor centric why do they not address the problem with adequate schooling? Is it not free already?

At any rate, I'm assured on a bimonthly basis that we will all lose our jobs to automation. So for what long term benefit is the homogeny of a society disrupted? I can name quite a few long term detriments.

Therr are zero real benefits. That's why they always reply with slogans and nonsense about restaurants.

Sad to see you go. You're one of the reasonable ones.

And yes, C-Mag is also reasonable, although I disagree with the value he puts on the threat of islamism.

As long as Grumpycatface, ssu, Bjørn, C-Mag and Hastur stays, this will still be a good place though, so I hope you come back.

Hell, even Nukedog and DSL/StA has some great things to say, whenever they put effort in it.
