So much for muh natural conservatives.

I can't believe that fuckwhit Rubio actually said that violence is justified against you if you hold the wrong viewpoints. Apparently defending even the first amendment is a bridge too far for these cowards. I hope the average conservadad takes a long, hard look at who intends to lead the party in lieu of Trump

Nothing is sillier than Americans saying that you can't justify violence against people holding a different viewpoint, that's how America was born, that's what America is all about, it's just a question of how much violence against which viewpoint, Bolshies in the streets, that's National Guard level of violence, Bolshies rolling across the trace formed up as Guards Armies, that's hydrogen bombs. I mean, tactical yield at first, preferably neutron enhanced, don't go straight to the ICBM's, those are just for a massive retaliation scenario.

Weird that they include Nazi and neo-nazi in the clarification at the end there. Were there any 90+ year old German guys at UtR?
Yeah, but it worked dummy, the UVA college kids in Charlottesville schooled UTR and took your Alt Righties to the cleaners, this was total victory for the Lefties and you can pretty much kiss that Robert E. Lee monument bye as well.

The "Normies" as you call them, will never get with the Nazi thing, but that's all the media will ever focus on. I don't know why these Alt Right dudes getting rousted by the cops would be surprised, they seem to be totally naive, like, no, morons, the police unions are not on your side.

And the guy crashing his car into the crowd, I mean, that guy totally screwed you, no force can be used against the college kids, unless that force is vetted by the state, so get control of the governors mansion, and use the National Guard, or just stay home next time.

One Democrat is it all it takes to unhorse Robert E. Lee, if anybody tries to stand in the way, cue BLM/Antifa, but instead of the riot police going after them, the riot police will go after anybody attempting to protest in favour of Robert E. Lee, that appears to be what happened in Charlottesville.
Well, just see if they start to take dawn statues of George Washington, the slave owner, in the North. Nope? Typical yankee hypocrisy.

Yet didn't this whole focus on the Statues and stuff start this time from a Church shooting in 2015? Hence when the lunatic Dylan Roof, who, as the FBI and DHS aptly put it, an individual who spontaneously sees an opportunity and makes an attack that goes over the media threshold, is when the process really starts in overdrive. You see earlier you could actually have a discussion about what actually historical statues stand for. Once you have this kind of attack, then the whole process kicks in.

In a way, the slavery issue of the Confederacy is to the South something similar to beating up Germans with Hitler. As you likely know, Germany experiences these Hitler Welle moment from time to time, where for some reason or another the evil of Hitler becomes again a current topic.

The Civil War in my view was to the South such a horrendous occasion compared to anything else, that it's naturally part of their heritage. Texas at least has in it heritage a brief independence and a successful war against Mexico, but for other Southern States it seems that nothing other of much importance happened to them.

It's not really hypocrisy. The rationalization they give is just that. Their true motive is the extermination of southern culture. Even though Washington was a southerner, they still for whatever reason want to identify him as their own, so most of them have no yet gotten with the program of erasing him too.

But they eventually will if the rest of us don't stop this nonsense right away. I don't know what it is about the left and their obsession with airbrushing and genociding history out of existence, but holy fuck, guys. You literally are acting like ISIS here.

Well, really a lot of these Dixie states are just getting taken over by Millenial hipsters, they're literally displacing the good ol' boys, it's like in Charlottesville, who is the power there, the KKK? Hells no, it's the UVA.

There was a time, when taking down a statue of Robert Lee in Virginia, would be a non-starter, there's no way the Lefties would touch that with a ten foot pole, the Virginia National Guard would be shooting people who took one step towards Marse Robert, but it ain't the same Virginia anymore, maybe Ohio has more Red in it now, but Virginia has gone very Blue of late, that's why the Democrats are emboldened here, Virginia ain't no Dixie stronghold now, it could be least Dixie state in the South now.

I mean, not to demoralize anybody still clinging to the Lost Cause, but pretty sure the Left is gonna win this war going away, won't be long until there are no Confederate monuments anywhere in the South, there ain't enough good ol' boys left, most of them don't care enough anymore obviously, and if the only people who show up to defend Marse Robert & Co are Richard Spencer and the Neo Nazis, that's just gonna accelerate the process.

It was never the Neo Nazis nor the KKK who kept the Lost Cause going, it was the "Normies", it was totally Normie in Dixie to rally around Bobby Lee & Co, but if the Normies have let it go now, which they seem to have, then you can kiss the Lost Cause goodbye, because the fringe is not and never was enough to keep it going.

At the end of the day, when Jedi says Vae Victis, ultimately, that's pretty much true, which is why never a day passes, when I don't raise a glass to Brock and Tecumseh; confederacy which won the war, and lived to have its monuments. <flexes>

Usually there's an understanding that in history things were different and historical figures should not be judged by present standards as they simply don't live in our times. Yes, people remark that many founding fathers were slave owners, but it's basically accepted in the historical context. After all, no feminists are attacking basically every historical politician before women got voting rights as being misogynists or chauvinists (in the present definition).

But I agree that there is this hostility against the South. For many it's unintentional and simple ignorance, but it has an effect on Southerners. For a tiny few it's an agenda. Yet are the Dylan Roofs and the James Fields Jrs those that represent the White Southerners? I don't think so. But they surely create the shit that attracts the flies.

Cultural genocide is actually really common in history. It's rampant in our own history. The English culturally genocided all the other cultures in the Isles. Our ancestors culturally genocided the fuck out of the natives here. One would hope it could remain in the past, but alas, the left are fucking regressive savages, when it comes down to it. They are not very different from their little ISIS buddies in SW Asia, obviously.

Does anyone know what the people in the town where the gen. Lee statue is to be taken down, feel about that statue? Any local polls on that?

It seems most reasonable that neither out-of-towner lefties nor out-of-towner right-wingers should get a say in what the people in their day to day get to look at in their own park.
