Central planning is anathema to creativity.

Re: Net Neutrality
There isn't much at the moment I think we all understand that. All of this happened under NN so I'm not sure how people arrived at the same talking points as Stephen Colbert that espouse NN as a needed regulation to prevent monopolies (it doesn't) and prevent censorship (it doesn't.)Viktorthepirate wrote:That's a pretty broad argument. Specifically speaking, how is net neutrality stifling creativity? Monopolies do the same thing.Fife wrote:Here's a good piece I ran across this morning sticking to actual economics, utilizing Hayek to demonstrate the shit-world we would have been promised if not for Trump beating that murderous old drunken bitch.
Net Neutrality And The Problem With “Experts”
Central planning is Cuban and Venezuelan bullshit. We had a close shave -- Thank Providence for Trump.Regulating the internet via the FCC, of course, thoroughly prevents innovators, consumers, and producers from taking advantage of the experience and knowledge of those who are actually working in the marketplace.
This isn’t a problem, apparently, for those who insist that government must dictate to consumers and producers alike. After all, we have “experts.”
Unfortunately, when it comes to something as complex and non-clinical as a functioning market, “experts” of the type employed by government panels are of little help. Hayek continues:
Today it is almost heresy to suggest that scientific knowledge is not the sum of all knowledge. But a little reflection will show that there is beyond question a body of very important but unorganized knowledge which cannot possibly be called scientific in the sense of knowledge of general rules: the knowledge of the particular circumstances of time and place. It is with respect to this that practically every individual has some advantage over all others because he possesses unique information of which beneficial use might be made, but of which use can be made only if the decisions depending on it are left to him or are made with his active coöperation.
Creativity is bred from competition, there isn't any.
That said the cellular market has done very well over the years and I don't see why cable cucks can't enjoy the same market forces of competition now. I know it seems hopeless when Comcast has dominated the market so far but I do believe there are some new things on the horizon.

Re: Net Neutrality
I've told you multiple times that I have no problems backing a corporation over an antagonistic government bureaucracy that has no interest of mine at stake. Once the governmental bureaucracy is focused on the 14 words I will gladly back it but until they have my interests at heart I will side with the lolbs every time.Speaker to Animals wrote:HA HA HA HA
Keep on shilling for the merchant class, then. Seriously, this is the one time you had me thinking you might have had a point with that other stuff. If they can convince even you to shill for them.. wow.
This business of fucking over an entire nation of people for some shekels is merchant values. There's no honor in it anywhere. Not even any principle. It's just chasing shekels and fleecing other people in the pursuit therein.

All they do is was forbid ISPs from destroying a free market.

No, it's a fact. We are about to lose a free market in online services. Amazon has a lot more money than Netflix or Hulu, so fuck competition. Bezos has every reason to pay the highest bid to throttle his competitors and prioritize his own streaming services.

Conspiracy ain't part of the free market. Fry the cheaters if the cheat. All your beloved NN would do is let Bezos do some dick-swinging in your face while rapping IT'S LEGALLLLLLLLLL.DECEMBER 16, 2017
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Rise, Fall, and Rebirth of the U.S. Antitrust Movement. I still think we’ll see some serious antitrust action in the next few years. And I think it’s time.

Nah. You are no fascist. No legitimate fascist would grovel around in the filth with merchant hucksters, trying to shake everybody down for shekels. No honor there. It's unbecoming.
