It's democracy: only takes 1 more Pro-EU MP than Anti-EU MP and it's Brussels all the way, baby.
But it's not really a democracy. The European parliament is just a distraction, and has no real power. The commission is designed to not be influenced by those troublesome voters, and it's the institution that has all the power in the EU. Won't really matter who wins or loses those elections, it's just a way to measure support.
Uhhhh... Brexit?
Britain is one country. Don't project the views of the British, on the rest of Europe, protip. The Pro-EU side has more influence right now, way more seats in EU parliament, stop tunnel visioning on the outcome you like and look at the big picture.

Loss of sovereignty myth rears its ugly head once again.

The UK Parliament has supremacy over the EU.

This is why we are not in the Schengen zone and still have Sterling as our currency.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

I disagree (see Brexit) but then I’m a Trump supporter who lives in the U.S.
Doesn't matter that you "disagree", or who you support in the US. Your understanding of EU politics is limited to Britain and views from Britain. The absolutely biggest losers this EU parliament election were EU parties who wanted to leave the EU altogether. Le Pen and Salvini in France and Italy, nor the Poles or Hungarians want to leave the EU. They want a different EU.

The hard euroskeptics, those who want to ditch EU altogether quite simply don't have any power anymore. Brexit was merely Britain, and EU is considerably bigger than Britain. It only served to make euroskeptics even more sure that they didn't want to leave the EU. What they do want, is to be the ones to influence which direction it should go, instead of leaving that entirely up to the likes of Merkel and Macron.
Fame is not flattery. Respect is not agreement.

I said ABOVE as long as there’s 1 more Pro-EU than Anti, Brussels wins.

This is the Brexiteers biggest mistake.
They believe we will be free of influence from the EU after Brexit. In reality, we will still have to jump through the EU's hoops in order to continue trading but we lose any influence in what the hoops are.
Germany and France will be free to turn the EU into the Federal State they fear and loathe so much.

The more extreme you get (far left or far right) the more "certain" you are your views are "the right views"... Thus if you are calling for censorship or other authoritarian methods it's pretty certain you think you "know" everything, and everyone who disagrees or sees things differently is "too stupid" (or "deplorable").

The left is currently in the lead at excelling in this behaviour. Anyone who disagrees is "stupid", "deplorable", "hateful", etc.

Your biggest mistake is not realizing it is the other way around. The EU will have to jump through hoops to trade with you, if you so choose to create such hoops. You are not an export economy. To Germany, you are a market. Germany needs access to your market. You hold the power in that relationship.

Had nothing to do with the European parliament, or the commission, as it was started by a democratically elected british government.

I think people put way too much faith in whatever election outcome comes out from the European parliamentary elections. They're irrelevant. The elections won't change the course of the commission. And it's designed this way. It's about as democratic as the elections held in the Soviet union. They're for show.
