Not a better place to put this, so its going here.
I've been following the Hick Lib phenomena/operation by the left. It's almost entirely an utter failure. Whether you are talking about Tim Walz or the cringe Kamala Harris masculinity ads. Their one real success was Beau of the Fifth Column or who we tagged Comrade Cletus. Can't remember who came up with that, but its brilliant.
Beau is no longer on his own YouTube channel, claiming burnout. However, he stepped back right after the first journalistic investigation into him resulted in an article.

He has been trying to tamp down talk of his past for a long time, in the past year word has spread about his past. One of the best run downs including federal court documents is Here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CH_lOKssklk
All the HickLibs turn out to be frauds of some sort or another. It's interesting that the Left can't find any actual rural folks to represent them.

Greetings, long time no converse lol anyway I am basically a left leaning populist. I know that warrants some clarification but I'll just start by pointing to William Jennings Bryan. The left today can't connect with the rural or white working class for numerous reasons.C-Mag wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 1:12 pmNot a better place to put this, so its going here.

Re: Social Justice Warriors Thread
William Jennings Bryan's platforms, particularly during his 1896 and subsequent year...
Free Silver (Bimetallism): Advocated for the free coinage of silver at a 16:1 ratio to gold to increase the money supply and help indebted farmers and workers.
Anti-Gold Standard: Opposed the gold standard, arguing it restricted economic growth and favored elites.
Income Tax Reform: Supported a graduated income tax to redistribute wealth more equitably.
Anti-Monopoly Stance: Opposed monopolistic corporations and called for stronger government regulation of industries like railroads.
Pro-Labor: Advocated for labor rights, including restrictions on the use of federal troops in labor disputes.
Direct Democracy: Endorsed reforms such as the direct election of U.S. Senators to make government more responsive to the people.
1900 and Later Platforms:
Anti-Imperialism: Opposed U.S. colonialism and imperialist policies, particularly following the Spanish-American War.
Trust-Busting: Called for stronger enforcement against corporate trusts to protect consumers and small businesses.
Advancing Moral and Social Reforms: Advocated for temperance and prohibition, which gained traction in later years.
It's not my political beliefs to a T but it's fairly close in that context.
