Yeah... how much power do you expect “the states” to have over a federal loan program that’s providing a trillion in secured debt payments to a massive industry?
I'm always for more power being pushed away from the Feds and to the States. Hell, I want to see States have strong State Militias like in the 19th Century. So that's where I stand.

The Student Loan Industry is a criminal enterprise............. you want to talk about a monopoly that punishes young people in this country for life, it's the Student Loan Industry.

States can and do take the Federal government to court all the time.

My local school teachers are going on strike at the start of school even though it's against State law because our pussy governor won't do a damn thing about it. They want a 25% raise and they'll get it.
Hash for Washington State head of Public Instruction !
You want to make an impact, that would be a great office to get............ but you'd have to move to Olympia.

I don’t get it. Why would you like Mulvaney after this?
Mulvaney is dismantling the CFPB's power. When he took charge he said he was completely shocked at the power the CFPB had. Do you know it's and Agency with no oversite by Congress?
Right... but it’s expressly for the purpose of protecting consumers. That congressional independence puts it under the Executive, and frees it from lobbyists (more or less).

Probably the last agency that I actually want to fail. Along with the EPA.

Seriously? When a government has complete control over something, you expect it to not become corrupted? Seriously how daft do you need to believe that?

Got a better idea, threat of a 25% work force reduction from the top down and anyone that was let go loses all benifits and union rights, and will have to re-apply as a year one employee again?

Eliminate those "programs" and suddenly it doesn't matter who "controls" them.

Back in reality, I don’t see how this is a good thing, in present system. Unless you’re hoping that the whole mess implodes faster.

Already there. Most of these loans are not getting paid. People will die before paying them.

If you had a decent degree and the jobs got gutted by h1b and offshoring, then why even pay it?
