The property is divided according to the terms agreed to in the partnership, your feelings on who earned what nonwithstanding.

Am I crazy here?? How in the world do these women deserve a God damned thing they didn't earn? Why can't they just pack their shit and move out? I don't get why this has to be complicated with all the theft and slavery, and I especially don't get how many men will defend what could be their own enslavement some day.

That's not really how it works, DB.
In my experience, they divide half YOUR shit. Her shit is offlimits. Then they have to decide how much of your life will be spent as a slave so that she can run off on vacations with her new boyfriends and pay down her student loans.
That was not part of the "agreement". The courts don't give a shit about any agreements you had. In fact, even if you have a prenupt, the judge can and will just toss that right the fuck out. The "agreement" in almost every case was for life. These women made a mockery of marriage. They should be rewarded with a stern "go fuck yourself bitch, you made your bed, now lie in it" speech. Nothing more.
There exists no concept of rule of law in the family courts. There is no due process. There are no constitutional rights.

You’re free to write different rules for your partnership, man. It’s not an immutable law imposed from above. You don’t like the default, change it. Matt Lauer certainly had the lettuce to write in any changes he desired.
If the default works differently in reality, then I’ve not encountered that (and I’ve been divorced). I can only speak for how it worked for me, and how almighty Google says it works in general.

Once you put your signature on it, and told the judge or preacher or whoever, "ok, sure," your country ass was bought and sold; maybe not the best slave on the block today, but he's all yours!
All your "I earned that shit" hooey is just a popcorn fart at that point. Nobody wants to hear it. Sorry.
Is this hard for you to understand, somehow?
I mean, you seem like you have some sense about you. Is this getting through?

Though I think the larceny property division option would be more entertaining. Collect all the cash and valuables in a big warehouse. Give each spouse a pile of burlap sacks, then hit the stopwatch and yell GO!

He was “creepy”, and called a pregnant woman “ripe”. Apparently, that’s all it takes now.PartyOf5 wrote: ↑Thu May 24, 2018 10:29 amNext up, Morgan Freeman.

It's almost as if To Kill a Mockingbird addressed a real moral problem regarding women's abuse of their hypoagency.

A mild suggestion.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Thu May 24, 2018 7:56 pmIt's almost as if To Kill a Mockingbird addressed a real moral problem regarding women's abuse of their hypoagency.
Drop the word hypoagency.
It is not effective.
