So, what's the solution?

Is there a solution?

Should we even talk about solutions?

Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, is nonplussed, and five hours after the attack... drivel. "You won't divide us"--but he never does get around to saying who "you" are.

That's why it's a weasel move. Throwing cover for terrorism and pretending it's just caution.

I heard Trump won the election because of Russia! (Evidence? No, there's no evidence.)

It's safely meaningless.
If you parse this asshole's words--his heart goes out to the family of the terrorist who killed everyone--his tone remains the tired old terrorism is inevitable in big cities. That same shit that had DeBlasio nodding along.

And what do you call people like you who are constantly trying to overplay Islamic terrorism? Islam baiting panic monkeys?
The IRA have killed far more people than Islam has in the UK. Shit, peanuts have killed far more than any terrorists Catholic, Protestant or Muslims combined.
I downplay it like you downplay mass shootings, because it is not going to result in the end of Western culture any more than peanuts are. I didn't even deny this was an Islamic inspired terrorist attack, I just waited for some evidence rather than jumping to that conclusion without any proof like you did.
Remember the Quebec Mosque attack that you all speculated was two disgruntled gay Muslims until it turned out to be a white nationalist? You looked pretty stupid, I prefer to wait for evidence.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Supporting rather than ridiculing our intelligence services is a good start. At least 13 major terrorist attacks have been foiled since 2013 according to security forces in the UK.
Forging links with moderate Muslims in the community rather than alienating them is a good source of information about radical Islamists. No one is suggesting that we do nothing but demonising a whole religion like the panic monkeys do is definitely counter productive.

Best Wishes to our British Allies. I hate to see this shit happening. This should not be something we get used to, accept or minimize in any way.

Nor should we let it turn us into scared peoples or change our moderate societies into far right police states where our freedom and privacy is eroded unnecessarily.
There is a difference between minimising and having a balanced view of the situation.
