This is all back to Milton Friedman in the early 70's advocating supply side and tying executive pay to performance. They gamed it ever since to raise executive pay and order of magnitude over worker pay. When we should be taxing wealth not income, Capital Gains should be taxed higher, not lower than income.

The notion that money made off other money should be taxed less than what you worked your ass off for is insane. That people have bought this bullshit for 40 years is deeply depressing. Americans, R & D, are at their heart suckers for shysters who tell them heartwarming stories.

I'm an anti-Marxist. If that makes me a candidate for Jonestown, clear the runway.

Dude, if you were an anti-Marxist, I'd know 'cuz I'm on the Membership committee.

Economies are games, and like any game, they can be gamed. That's why games have rules but, of course, the gamers don't like them.

Yes. I am amazed at the many who can't see this. Any economic system can be gamed, rigged, corrupted.

Almost all the increases in economic wealth in the past four decades have gone to the upper 1% with some crumbs to the top 10%. Yet, the solution is more of the same?

"Collectivists advocate redistribution of wealth to increase fairness, but Liberals want to redistribute wealth to increase liberty." - me

"The opposite of 'redistribution' is 'concentration,' which pretty much describes the two competing ideologies in America." - me

Any attempts to reduce, or prevent, concentration is label Communist, or worse, Marxist.

Anti-aristocracy.

But I understand that many people are looking forward to being a serf or owning one.

As long as the 90% are bamboozled into thinking they'll be in the 1% any day now, they're good with any amount of bullshit. Just look at the "death tax" nonsense, or good ole "Joe the Plumber" who had no idea that he'd never, ever be asked pay the tax he was against. We have a full on class war, but if anyone on the losing end says it, they're vilified as commies.
