Those losing out in lost income from their jobs in tourism, retail etc are not the elite. They are working class employees already hit hard by France's economic woes.

BTW, where do you think the money is going to come from to repair the millions of Euros of damage done by the riots? Insurance companies don't pay out for acts of terrorism, this is going to be paid for with government funds which will mean either more cuts to welfare or increased taxes.

Personally, I am not a fan of burning your cities down, but one good thing to come of this is that the globalist elites will be extremely hesitant to use the global warming scam to impose draconian wealth redistribution taxes from the rural areas to the urban centers.

I think a lot of these people consume so much of their own propaganda, they have no idea how deeply unpopular their schemes and ideas really are. We are not really allowed to dissent from it on social media. We lose our jobs for dissenting publicly. The MSM is totally in the bag for globalism and global warming. So I think Macron thought it was a safe bet to fuck over the non-urbanites to pay for his budget shortfalls (a huge part of which is the direct consequence of the globalist mass migration initiatives).

Every time there is a referendum on any of this globalist bullshit, the majority of the people reject it. In direct conflict with the pretty much all of the media and it's lying narrative, but you wouldn't know that if all you do is read newspapers and watch the corporate television news. You'd probably think like Monty does, and end up blindsided when people start burning cities down in response to what's left of their economic livelihood being destroyed and robbed by corporate leftists like Macron.

I read somewhere recently that progressives are calling people that use the terms globalism, globalist etc. racist/privileged. I can't seem to turn on almost any new show on Netflix or Amazon or Cable that doesn't have words like, "mansplaing, white privilege" , transgenderism," involved in it. Not to mention the fact that often shows portray men as either weak or abusive at massive disproportionate amounts. These things are becoming the new culture wars and its in every facet of media. From Time magazine to BET to CBS to Twitter.

I mostly teach 13-14 year olds and I swear I heard a black kid say to his (white) friend quote he's "showing his privilege" when they were talking about how the new covers police shootings. While I was kind of impressed with the spontaneity of the conversation and the fact that they could even care to have a conversation about that instead of farts or hoes or football etc. Ultimately however it was disparaging to say the least. It was really odd honestly. I've been mostly teaching as a job for about 10 years and those words would have never been uttered a few years ago. What would have been though (its also an indicator of what could have and did come this way culturally) are things like black kids calling other students and teachers "racist" just reflexively and even emotively. I think now that Macron has been forced to change policy by violence on the streets and has backed down from this tax increase the support for mob rule will disappear and tomorrow only those intent on mindless destruction will be rioting in the streets.
It is possible that the far-left and far-right activists responsible for this terrorism will turn on each other and hopefully any further deaths will come from these groups and not 80 year old ladies trying to close their window shutters.
