Because its only through the office's professional errors that the suspect was allowed to regain a position of being a threat.
No it wasn't, he specifically told the guy not to reach behind his back again, otherwise he would be shot, there's no error, the direction was clear, and the suspect acknowledged it.
The guy was prone with arms outstretched.

The cop ordered him out of a zero threat position.

So what? That's neither here nor there, as it pertains to the suspect reaching for a gun, the cop clearly wanted the suspect to move forward, because there was a blind corner, and the lead cop wasn't the one who was going to take him into custody there, the lead has to cover the corner, so suspect crawl forward, and trail cop takes him into custody covered by the lead, that's tactically sound and in fact doctrine.

Describe the difference in a cop's right to use violence in self-defense and your right to use violence in self-defense.

They're covering the whole hallway, they don't know who is around that corner, they don't know if this an ambush, they're not going down there into the killzone, they want the suspect to come to them, and that is no crime.

It appears you have lower standards for trained professionals than I do.

If this is a democracy, can somebody direct me to an archived story where we all voted on whether we should live in a society where innocent people are shot to death by psycopathic cops because they couldn't walk on their knees with their legs crossed and their hands in the air? I must have missed the part where this shit all decided to be okay, because it's definitely not okay. Fuck this.

Ahh! You can't fucking walk on your knees with your legs remaining crossed. You have to die, motherfucker!

That's really something to defend.

That's not a safe place for them to take the suspect into custody, with a blind corner right there, getting him to move out of the way, so they can continue to cover the corner while he is being taken into custody, is tactically sound, and exactly what I would do too.

The fact that he appears to reach for it in the process, a second time, after being specifically warned not to, on pain of being shot, loudly, clearly, and in no uncertain terms, is a separate issue.
