No, we are exceptional.

In many places around the globe I've seen locals astonished at the American capacity to work and problem solve.

The one I remember most vividly was on the primitive northern coast of Panama. The villagers would sit around and watch us work like it was trekkies at a scifi marathon.

They couldn't believe we would start work at 0600 and go to 2200. On occasion 24hrs of work, building them a school or clinic.

That's not normal around the globe.
