I don't want to feed the SIFCLF-itis, so I'm just gonna stop now, I'm CBRN Reconnaissance qualified from the Joint Incident Response Unit, if you're a SIFCLF, with kids, you don't want to know about this shit, trust me.

It's all about vectors, a virus like SARS requires human to human contact to spread, bacteria like MRSA is everywhere, doesn't need human to human contact to spread.
We could always kill it with fire.
You wanna burn all your children in the schoolhouse down? Because that's the Alpha Vector. ZOMG? It's the kids; stay away from them.

Then we need to make sure it doesn't come across the border because of lax immigration laws.

The plague was spead by trade not immigration. That's how it was able to conquer Europe in a couple of Summers. Trading vessels carried the infected rats from the mediteranean all over North Africa and Northern Europe. Only Greenland, Iceland and the Finns escaped it due to their isolation.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

The next pandemic is going to arrive on a plane as a result of trade or tourism in Asia somewhere because the people live too close to their chickens. The black death has nothing on bird flu.
I'm all for it. It's just Gaia's way of culling the species when populations get to unsustainable levels.

The bird flu has nothing on MRSA. Panicking about the flu, what is this 1918?

Indeed, because the thing about flu is; you can produce a vaccine in relatively short order, but MRSA is a result of antibiotics, the antibiotics are making it stronger all the time, and it is much, much more difficult to produce a whole new antibiotic the way you could with a flu vaccine.

When the bacteria have defeated all your antibiotics, you're fucked, there's nothing that can stop them then, whereas with a new flu strain, you can start making a vaccine for it right away.
