Right after the election, Trump was asked about a purported rise in antisemitic incidents at a conference, and Trump started to respond by rambling for many sentences about his historic win against Hillary, I am the best winner, really, people tell me that, etc. Typical Trump narcissistic and absurd blabber.
However, his next many sentences were about how how will be a president to everyone, how he is close with jews and has 'em in his fam, he is against antisemitism, etc.
So on its flagship news program at rush hour, NPR play the audio of the question, and then the part where Trump boasts about his electoral win, AND THEN THEY CUT THE AUDIO, and then the hosts offer their commentary: I can't believe he didn't answer the question, this is implicit support for antisemitism, what a dick bag he is, etc.
I mean, these are professional journalist, NPR is putting the audio together, am I really to believe it is an accident that they cut off his response RIGHT BEFORE he said the proper Presidential stuff?
I am still in shock over it, NPR intentionally misrepresented what happened -- and very effectively, I might add.
I've heard some pretty biased reporting from them as well - usually a snide comment, or turn of phrase. Nothing that was an outright lie though.
The point that he can't manage to answer a simple question without blathering about himself is valid. The question is whether they presented this as evidence of anti-semitism, or evidence of his incoherence.
Also, I've heard them discussing Kushner and Ivankas Jewishness in the past day or so.
No dude, read what I wrote again, you cannot cut off his response half way through and then have the host comment that he didn't answer the question. Period. I was actually in shock, at the time, I really didn't know the state of the media -- esp NPR -- was this bad.
Fine, but what's the effect of this? Trump looks like an idiot, which most of us already believe anyway. Nobody thinks he's anti-semitic in the first place, and this doesn't change that.
I agree that it's disgusting, but against the vast body of their reporting, it's a miniscule problem.
You want to believe the fakery because you hate Trump.
I hate what he stands for. He's the embodiment of NYC culture, representing my country to the world. He's the absolute worst of our ignorant, braggadocious, irritating, moronic blather. And he has the nuclear codes.
As a human being, I don't think he's racist, just stupid. He was elected as a protest against a lot of serious issues, which he has turned his back on. Now we have the same establishment bullshit, but without the stability or coherence. This is the worst of both worlds.

You need to read what you just said and realize something really quick...

yeah but most know that CNN and Fox are BS, and they most certainly are, but we actually pay for NPR with our tax dollars, and this isn't a snide remark, it is intentional journalistic malpractice, designed to harm the viewer's perception of their brand-new, controversial president.
Grump, I hate Fox News. Nothing they put out compares to what CNN-ISIS is doing.
Here's Scott Adams attempting to answer the question I asked about if CNN is just acting/lying or bat shit crazy.

Truth is just like . . . soooo amorphous, man. Ya' know? Like, everything we think we know is, like, filtered through our senses. It's like, our perception, maaaaan. Ya' know? <bong hit> So like . . . Maybe what NPR did sounds like a lie to you, but to them it could totally be, like, the truth, ya' know? I mean, how can you even trust yourself to know what the truth is anyway? Everything is totally filtered through your brains, and like, we all know brains aren't perfect. So like, you call NPR liars but if you think about it, man, they just have their own truth . . . ya' know?
That's what I picture talking to GCF in real life would be like.
Plus pizza.
Plus doritos.
Plus an uncomfortable amount of body odor hidden under a nauseating veneer of patchouli.
