They're just agitating against American FONOPs on the China Seas, mostly for domestic consumption, wouldn't get cocky tho, they're on a trajectory to catch you at sea by the 2030's, America just ain't cranking out warships like she used to, it's the Chinese cranking out warships like that naow, and their quality is rapidly catching up to the quantity as well, it's actually pretty impressive what they are cranking out these days.Viktorthepirate wrote:Good ol inferiority complex China.

I'm sure they make excellent copies of other nation's innovations.Smitty-48 wrote:They're just agitating against American FONOPs on the China Seas, mostly for domestic consumption, wouldn't get cocky tho, they're on a trajectory to catch you at sea by the 2030's, America just ain't cranking out warships like she used to, it's the Chinese cranking out warships like that naow, and their quality is rapidly catching up to the quantity as well, it's actually pretty impressive what they are cranking out these days.Viktorthepirate wrote:Good ol inferiority complex China.

Indeed, but they're getting really good at it now, they're borderine NATO quality at this point.Viktorthepirate wrote:I'm sure they make excellent copies of other nation's innovations.Smitty-48 wrote:They're just agitating against American FONOPs on the China Seas, mostly for domestic consumption, wouldn't get cocky tho, they're on a trajectory to catch you at sea by the 2030's, America just ain't cranking out warships like she used to, it's the Chinese cranking out warships like that naow, and their quality is rapidly catching up to the quantity as well, it's actually pretty impressive what they are cranking out these days.Viktorthepirate wrote:Good ol inferiority complex China.

Nah, their stuff is pretty much state o' the art, and I wouldn't get cocky about ships breaking down neither, because the ships America has been cranking out ain't exactly impressive in that department of late, I mean, forget LCS, that's getting cancelled anyways, but the USS Gerald R. Ford is full o' bugs apparently, the Navy accepted it into service, but they probably should have rejected it in the state it is in right now.heydaralon wrote:What do those ships run on dog oil? All shit talking aside, yea, they are making good shit. I'm also afraid that the generation running shit now (who realized its all bullshit propaganda to tame the masses) will be replaced by nationists who actually believe that stuff.Smitty-48 wrote:Viktorthepirate wrote:I'm sure they make excellent copies of other nation's innovations.Smitty-48 wrote:

Although I have a feeling that if a war started between us or them it'll end either nuclear or stalemate. It'd be pretty hard for either of us to get troops to each other's territory.

We just got that huge laser rail gun. That will take out all of their sampans and quickly. I really want to see a modern naval battle that involves that rail gun.Smitty-48 wrote:Nah, their stuff is pretty much state o' the art, and I wouldn't get cocky about ships breaking down neither, because the ships America has been cranking out ain't exactly impressive in that department of late, I mean, forget LCS, that's getting cancelled anyways, but the USS Gerald R. Well I'm not saying start digging a bomb shelter or anything, but the Chinese are no joke at sea anymore, they are already the second most powerful navy on earth, behind only the US Navy, they've passed the Russians, the Russians are rusting out and they can't build fast enough nor big enough anymore. At some point the Russians are going to have to start buying some ships from China, certainly if they want some big ones, because the major warship building dock of the Soviet Union's, Nikolayev, is now behind enemy lines in the Ukraine.
As for nationalists who believe? Don't look now, but they've blown right by you on that, the Chinese are having no problems whatsoever recruiting top young talent to their navy, while the Millenial Hipsters of America are mostly taking a pass.
Ain't no Tianamen Square going on over there now, their kids are all into it these days.

What are the chances that the US and China will have some sort of conflict in the next 50 years?Smitty-48 wrote:Well I'm not saying start digging a bomb shelter or anything, but the Chinese are no joke at sea anymore, they are already the second most powerful navy on earth, behind only the US Navy, they've passed the Russians, the Russians are rusting out and they can't build fast enough nor big enough anymore. Not really an odds type calculation, you'd have to get a certain set of variables to fall into place, the odds are constantly shifting, based on actions or lack thereof, it's not really time dependent neither, could happen next week, might not happen at all.heydaralon wrote:What are the chances that the US and China will have some sort of conflict in the next 50 years?
The Chinese strategy right now, is just to try to displace the US in the China Seas, slowly but surely over time, by persistence, and exploiting the American body politic's desire to be relieved of such burdens.
