Well, if they do have values, what they actually are is anyone's guess. I always thought the left was about things like free speech and women's rights. They still at least claim to care about women's rights. And yet here they are, apologizing for cultures that treat women like chattel. Why would they do this, if they actually have the values they claim to have?

Well, Islam is anti-West, and anti-Christian, so the left decides to ally with them. In other words, the shared villain is more important than the stated values.


And for the record, I don't consider them villains. That's your strawman.

Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly on Friday said the terror threat is worse than most realize, saying some people would “never leave the house” if they knew the truth.

I don't really see them allying with Islam... this seems pretty much overblown.
Pretty sure the "War on Terror" is a bipartisan affair.
But they are all in with protecting (and patronizing) the "oppressed"... and if those oppressed groups don't get along with each other they see no contradiction.

The funniest example I came across is the tension between feminists and transgendered. Recently saw a piece where feminists were lighting into trans male->females arguing the cultural appropriation thing.

Once you realize that it's a social cancer, you can dispense with these false narratives. The left is the product of psychological dysfunction and social decay. That's all it is. Even calling it "the left" gives it too much credit and makes it seem like a natural extension of some political spectrum (that does not exist). It's no more natural to the social organism than cancer is to the human body.

Apologizing for other cultures, and demonizing your own culture, does not seem like a value to me. It just seems like they consider their own culture to be villainous.

The Right, meanwhile, does value personal freedom and responsibility. However, they've been twisted into some sort of dark caricature of those ideals - espousing the virtue of violence and fate as manifested by economic status. It's a sort of dark fatalism that's ultimately self-defeating.

I would submit that the left is the ongoing revolutionary germ that underpinned Christianity which turned against Christianity itself.
And endless revolution against ones own culture is similar to an autoimmune disorder when taken to extremes.
It needs to be kept in check.
