Since the vast majority of all human armies have been illiterate, imma go out on a limb and say IQ is a minor if not completely irrelevant factor in fielding an effective army. History is replete with dumbass, successful generals.

IQ and education are two completely different things.

They are, but the capacity to learn is squandered if no learning occurs, rendering the point moot. Most armies were illiterate. Most armies were malnourished (which affects IQ). Most soldiers were neglected children (affecting IQ), so on and so forth.

That's fine and all, but has little to do with the fact that a modern infantry requires a minimum IQ. This has nothing to do with literacy, education, or any of that other stuff. It's about the basic intelligence of your troops. The median IQ of these places is right around the minimum IQ set by most modern armies today. This means at least half the male population is utterly incapable of serving in such a military by any developed army's own standards of recruitment.

That's half of your potential troops weeded out on the basis of low intelligence alone. That's not accounting for disease and other disqualifying factors.

That's not to say these men cannot be dangerous. I am just pointing out the obvious fact that their population cannot support a modern army based on the standards of modern armies.

I could make a similar case against America today. The army says too many millennials are weak and fat and unfit for military service. That doesn't bode well for us either.

America and Britain quickly buried the hatchet.

The British abandon North America to the new Anglo-American republic in favor of the Empire in India and the Far East.

America then takes Mexico from the Spanish/French.

Then America takes the rest of the Spanish Empire.

Then the British defeat themselves in the name of Belgian Neutrality.

Then America bails them out and takes the British Empire as a fixed income investment.

Then America lays waste to the Germans to protect its investment.

The British just keep coming with more industrial firepower until the Zulus are simply overwhelmed.

They don't have modern armies, probably, because their population cannot possibly support one due to an average IQ below the minimum threshold to even serve in one.

The way I see it, the entire world is quickly becoming locked down by a warrior caste run out of only two civilizations, with our civilization headed for ruin. So basically China. But China is a potemkin village, so maybe just fuck it.

The entire thing is propped up by a warrior cast comprising only a small percentage of the population, and most of the non-warrior caste youth are unfit for service.

I think it is easy to take for granted what is necessary to keep all this shit together when you meet the minimum standards and you take your own talents for granted, assuming everybody must share in them (but they do not).

People with extremely high IQs aren’t in the octagon. The remainder have enough IQ to fight.
So what’s really important is who is the better fighter.

Illiterate Afghanis probably aren’t smarter than soldiers of the Soviet military.
But they still beat their asses.

Fight IQ matters, but that obviously isn't based on actual IQ. It's not a coincidence that the two greatest MMA fighters of all-time are well known for making the right decisions at the right time far more often than their contemporaries. Jon Jones and Georges St-Pierre know.

Fair enough since the age of discovery, but prior to that, no one is really competing with the cultures that lie between 30 degrees and 60 degrees N. Lot's going on East to West, Persians, Romans, Mongols, Muslims, but not north to south. No Congo invasion of Italy after it conquered 90% of Africa, no Laplander conquest to the Persian Gulf.
