Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
That's actually the weird thing about the US. Companies started offering insurance to employees as a benefit. They didn't choose housing or food (Mexico does food but that's partly because they don't trust employees to not drink up the whole check,) and we chose health insurance. It wasn't long after our companies did it on their own until congress started mandating free insurance for poor people. Probably saw the sucess model in employee (voter) retention.

The most imporant thing is for the President of Canada to both on the one hand make it rain, while on the other hand apply competetive pressure against the Liberal entrenched interest cartels here, Justin Trudeau & Co were relying on the Obamabots to play the same game down South in order to implement their agenda, but the Trumpster can derail all that, and may be the best hope to put the kybosh on Trudeau-nomics.

O'Leary just dropped out too. Hopefully Leitch can capitalize, her campaign could use the boost.Smitty-48 wrote:The most imporant thing is for the President of Canada to both on the one hand make it rain, while on the other hand apply competetive pressure against the Liberal entrenched interest cartels here, Justin Trudeau & Co were relying on the Obamabots to play the same game down South in order to implement their agenda, but the Trumpster can derail all that, and may be the best hope to put the kybosh on Trudeau-nomics.

I wouldn't get your hopes up, we don't tend to throw the bums out after just one mandate, O'Leary dropped out cause he knows Justin Trudeau is going to win, this is why Trump is the Great Right Hope, because it's only competetive pressure from the US which is going to be able to constrain the Liberals.

Indeed but if Leitch wins the leadership and Trump pulls through and puts the heat on Trudeau, then we're talking.Smitty-48 wrote:I wouldn't get your hopes up, we don't tend to throw the bums out after just one mandate, O'Leary dropped out cause he knows Justin Trudeau is going to win, this is why Trump is the Great RIght Hope, because it's only competetive pressure from the US which is going to be able to constrain the Liberals.

Mad max is the preferred candidate of Trump supporting Canucks that I engage with elsewhere. Not clear on the why or how but Leitch is second best candidate.

Indeed, would be good to have a firebrand as the LOHMO, but Zoolander ain't gonna get tossed this time around, best we can hope for is a big ol' Trump block to keep him check, until such time as the electorate gets sick of him.StCapps wrote:Indeed but if Leitch wins the leadership and Trump pulls through and puts the heat on Trudeau, then we're talking.Smitty-48 wrote:I wouldn't get your hopes up, we don't tend to throw the bums out after just one mandate, O'Leary dropped out cause he knows Justin Trudeau is going to win, this is why Trump is the Great RIght Hope, because it's only competetive pressure from the US which is going to be able to constrain the Liberals.

They have to try to win Quebec, they see Bernier as the only hope, but I just don't think there's enough time for people to really be fed up with Selfie Boy, before the next election, realistically, I'm looking at the election after that, even then, there's a lot a fuckin' Libtards in this country, and they cling tenaciously to their shit.TheReal_ND wrote:Mad max is the preferred candidate of Trump supporting Canucks that I engage with elsewhere. This is why I need America to up its game, to keep all that Libtard shit in check, even if they win the elections. They might run from the Left, but they have to keep themselves in alignment with the US, so that forces them to govern back to the Right, and at the very least, keeps them from going off the Lefty Wefty deep end, which right now, they are want to do.
This is not just Federal btw, this is Provincial too, I got two sets of Libtards and two sets of Cuckservatives, and I need America to force them all into alignment, just hem them in, otherwise, they gonna rape me for all my tin.
I mean, I got a Cuban Cigar and Single Malt Scotch habit to feed up in here, Smitty needs a tax cut too.

Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
I am not sure if this was posted here, already or not, but here is an article detailing on how Pai at the FCC wants to get rid of net neutrality seems to have already begun:
http://money.cnn.com/2017/04/26/technol ... index.htmlThe attempt to roll back net neutrality has officially begun.
Ajit Pai, the Trump-appointed chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, laid out plans Wednesday to limit the agency's oversight of Internet service providers, potentially weakening enforcement of net neutrality.
The net neutrality rules, approved by the FCC in 2015, are intended to keep the Internet open and fair. The rules prevent Internet providers from playing favorites by deliberately speeding up or slowing down traffic from specific websites and apps.
As part of the 2015 process, the FCC voted to assert more regulatory control over Internet providers by reclassifying them as common carriers, similar to telephone services.
Pai has now issued a proposal to repeal that reclassification, called Title II, raising alarms among net neutrality advocates and throughout the tech industry.
"Two years ago, I warned that we were making a serious mistake," Pai said in a speech at the Newseum in Washington D.C. "The more heavily you regulate something, the less of it you're likely to get."
