Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
Trump is still holding 94% support from his base, and the reality is, Morning in America works, across the board tax cuts without cutting spending, is the winning hand, that will beat Liz Warren or whatever Lefty Kook the Democrats run in 2020, and it should blow up in everybody's faces, right around 2024, just in time for Trump to ride off into the sunset while handing the ball, poisin pill n' all, to the Democrats on the way out the door. Reagan did it, Bush did it, Trump will do it too.

Trump is more Reagan than Bush, but the GOP debt-financed-asset-bubbly-trickle-down-a-nomics never changes.

Anyone who thought it would be different this time was kidding themselves, more wishful thinking. It was clear that Trump loved the trickle down plan from the beginning, he was quite open about it.Smitty-48 wrote:Trump is more Reagan than Bush, but the GOP debt-financed-asset-bubbly-trickle-down-a-nomics never changes.

Reagan also ran a deficit. Which is what I'm assuming you are referring to. But there were other things going on that accounted for an economic expansion for the middle class such as Nixon's deal with china involving cheap manufactured goods.
If you're saying Trump will somehow benefit the middle class I suppose he could win again. I wanted less intervention, more immigration control and repealing AFCA. Don't even care about replace.
He's not getting an A from me currently.

You cut taxes on the monied classes, without cutting public spending, you actually make it rain instead, while you also deregulate recklessly, this juices the Markets into a frenzy, which presents as growth, which gets you reelected, regardless of the huge deficit, and then before the bubble bursts, you pull the ejection handle and parachute down to your Presidential Library, leaving the mess for the Democrats to clean up.

Trump has come through on the key tax cuts, the estate tax, the alternative minimum tax, and the Obama healthcare tax, they say you can't time the markets, but you actually can, you're good to go until the third year of Trump's second term, at which point you go defensive and prepare to short. ;]
