Doesn't matter, none of the big ones pay it anyway. We're just adding to their yearly stimulus.StCapps wrote:You guys realize your corporate tax rate is way too high, right?

The small ones do though. You don't want to level the playing field a little for them so they can compete with the big corps? Asshole. Who is really pro-big business here, Trump or Grumps? I'm going to go with Grumps, fuck the little guy only the big corps get to pay lower taxes.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Doesn't matter, none of the big ones pay it anyway. How do they do that? Let's spread this novel concept around. Taxation without representation is theft.

If anyone actually cared about making it right, the tax code would be about 2 pages long. It's not.StCapps wrote:The small ones do though. Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
The issue is not taxation per se, taxation is a canard, the issue is the public delusion that the purpose of government is to "do good", this "do gooder" impulse provides the mechanism for vested interests, both public and private, to insinuate themselves into government, and in fact entrench themselves as a de facto shadow government, largely, corporations and unions, at which point, what is "good", is simply what the corporations and unions want, and they have an insatiable appetite for revenue at the trough, once ensconced, there is no limit as to how much they will demand in order to "do good", so unless and until the public disabuses itself of the idea that "governance" and "doing good' are the same thing, "tax reform" is pointless, it's just a shell game.

In the meantime, lowering the corporate tax rate is a good idea.GrumpyCatFace wrote:If anyone actually cared about making it right, the tax code would be about 2 pages long. It's not.

Not unless you feel that we really don't need to collect what little they do pay. Fuck it, we've got money machines, right?StCapps wrote:In the meantime, lowering the corporate tax rate is a good idea.GrumpyCatFace wrote:If anyone actually cared about making it right, the tax code would be about 2 pages long. What're you gonna do? We've got the uber-military.
Works until it doesn't. Then Rome burns.
