He doesn’t want every chump picking up a firearm, but he wants every chump to have the right to vote.

Yikes.

Which is really more dangerous, long term? Morons owning guns, or morons having a say in your income, freedoms, and deployment of your military?

We got a deficit of big picture thinking on this one.

The Kneedipper socialists are just Canada's version of the Women's Christian Temperance Union 2.0

Prohibitionist crusaders never change, it's the same Anti Saloon League all along, right back to the Great Awakenings of the 19th century.

Hyper Protestantism in action, against the filthy Papists and their Devil's work, who knew?

No...

Make it tougher to earn the privilege to own any firarm... especially for ding dongs like this guy...
That's not the American way. A right is a right, you don't make it tougher for people to exercise a right, that's tyranny by stealth.
Yep, sorry Mr. Dr. Canuck Shrink, but down here we strictly apply the Fuck Prior Restraint rule. Sorry bout that.

I mean, back in the day, the Temperance leagues, they openly called it "Christian Socialism" and unabashedly declared that the purpose was an American Utopia.

The modern Temperance leagues are nowhere near as honest about their motives, probably because they know how badly the old schtick plays these days. They think if they just tweak the emphasis of their preaching, it'll sell better this time around.

I don’t like seeing kids get shot.

I don’t like seeing kids get run over, contract AIDS, drink themselves to death, bully each other online, or get fat as fuck from shoveling fast food down their gullets either.

Price of freedom.

They've simply cloaked it in a secular facade, but the Kneedippers have been Christian Socialists all along, the CCF became the NDP, but Jack Layton was just as churchy as Pastor Tommy Douglas.

That is pretty damn clear.
In America, it's a Right, not a Privilege.
The question really is...

How well is that working out?

Is it worth everyone including nutjobs like this one having this right... rather than making everyone earn the privilege... on a case by case basis.

I would argue having it be a privilege rather than a right makes sense for most firearms... especially the highest powered of them.
Big picture, far more things kill us down here then guns.

Specifically speaking of massacres, he could have waited in a car and plowed into those kids walking to the bus and killed more.

Guns scare you, we get it. But if you're really worried about the sanctity of human life go campaign for texting and driving reform.

Perhaps if we gave a fuck what other people thought it would be a relevant question.

Your obsession with our guns is as silly as our obsession with your immigration.
