Well shows your limitation of knowledge...the tariff is for soft wood only. The US has it's own soft wood production or had before Canada flooded the market with it's own wood. Trump is trying to make it so that US companies get back into producing Soft Wood again...GrumpyCatFace wrote:LMAO

Also, soft wood is used currently for house building, and other projects of the sort... to give a house better bones it would be better to use hard woods, but right now the cost is too expensive compared to the soft wood allowed in the US now... that is about to change. Personally I would prefer harder woods as a foundation for US houses, they wouldn't be cookie cutter houses any more, they may last more than 50 years without buckling, but meh... what do I know.
