Re: New Zealand - Killer Praised Trump
I'm actually in favor of people not being a public nuisance. That's why I believe in the right to free determination in what kind of community you would like to have. Problem is, it's left up to the oligarchs who want to bus in as many foreigners as they can to drive down your wages. Ordinary folk have no determination. Look at the Catholic neighborhoods busted up in the cities. That was done intentionally.

Fuck that, paying taxes does make limiting free speech a good idea. The constable should not deal with that.

When even Smitty can't make a good case for this bylaw, you know it sucks. If these are the best arguments that supporters of this bylaw have, that's some weak material.

Doesn't suck for me. Corso Italia. Don't make a nuisance of yourself on my street.

Even in America, they have ordinances, first amendment does not entitle you to make a nuisance on the street.

They didn't cause a nuisance, they got slapped with a public nuisance charge because their arguments were considered to be hate speech, otherwise they wouldn't have had the grounds to charge them because "public nuisance".

Bylaw. I'm prepared to allow broad latitude. If it was indictable offence, the judge would throw it out.StCapps wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 7:16 pmThey didn't cause a nuisance, they got slapped with a public nuisance charge because their arguments were considered to be hate speech, otherwise they wouldn't have had the grounds to charge them because "public nuisance".

There are probably more than two sides to this story. I feel like I'm not getting the full picture with "man charged for shouting 'whoore' at passerby."

I will allow broad latitude for bylaw. People shouting anything at anybody can be slapped with a ticket, please do.
If you are shouting on my street, I would like to beat you with a stick, so you are getting off light with a ticket.
