I told you above, honestly, that I'm done with negativity. I'm very disappointed that the most important achievement, fame, the one that would convince people like Hanny that he really is talking to the World's Only Ever ..., and should be accepted as such, is the one that relies almost totally on luck, something that I can't control except by perseverance. It's not like I don't debate like a mutterfukker but some people are lost causes, and no longer entertaining.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 1:30 pmYou didn’t get all those degrees by backing down from a challenge and hiding, did you?Martin Hash wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 1:29 pmClaims? You have a hard time with adversity for someone who claims to have accomplished so much.

To repeat myself:
I'm the world's only-ever licensed doctor, attorney, accountant & engineer.
I'm the world's only-ever doctorates in medicine, law, computer science & MBA.
I'm the world's only-ever Complete Homo Universalis.
(There's other stuff too but isn't this impressive enough?)
I'm pretty sure that this would have meant something and made me famous 20 years ago? (I don't know, maybe I just didn't read the room right all these years, but I think so.)

Ok, Dr. Hash. This is the second post that touched on something the wife and I were kicking around last night. We were delving into the actual definition of meritocracy because I was trying to explain the current culture war to her and I used your patriarchy vs egalitarianism as a kick off point. (All credits went your way) Meritocracy is not what it intuitively sounds like. They got a whole bunch of other shit going on other than just merit. But this discussion and digging led me to "Social Market Economy" and I was wondering if you had any exposure or knowledge about this economic/social philosophy. New to me but the elevator pitch sounds enticing.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 1:38 pm

Therefore, the Social Market economy has to be understood as a privilege‐free order, where
neither feudal or party elites nor economic power groups like monopolies, cartels or trusts
influence markets and society. All members of a society shall get in principle the same
opportunity to develop individually beyond any barriers of class.

Ben Franklin and Leonardo come to mind. But regardless - you’d be famous if you actually did something with all of that accreditation.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 1:42 pmTo repeat myself:

Invent a thing that people know, and you go into history books. Write a world-changing manifesto, or discover a new thing. Hell, just provide interesting content on YouTube. Being a scholar for its own sake will never lead to fame.
No doubt there have been some very smart people through the ages that had no wider impact, and nobody gives a shit about.

I’ve determined that fame is the determining factor. My animation technology was (is) superior but other factors were more important. The travel books I write are unique & innovative but nobody gives a shit. My mystery novel has an awesome twist. My humor (4 books) is original, and my trolls are epic. It’s not that I don’t do fameworthy stuff, it’s that you have to be famous to get famous. I don’t like 99.9% of the work & things that other famous people did so why are they famous; I don’t like their music, scripts, art or philosophy. Fame is a democracy of randomness.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 2:25 pmBen Franklin and Leonardo come to mind. There’s definitely an element of ‘memorability’, and you’ll never capture 100% of the audience.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 2:36 pmI’ve determined that fame is the determining factor. Pick a thing you know, and make content for people that you know. Super computer nerd makes super nerd stuff for super nerds.
Shallow moron makes shallow moronic stuff for other shallow morons.
Do your thing and gain fame with your peers. And if you claim to have no peers, then nobody is going to interested in paying homage to your degrees.

Dude, I’m doing it right this minute. The things in my forum are the things that I’m betting will make me famous. I repeat, fame is a random democracy. When I catch, all my fameworthiness will make me more famous.

I think this is the buzzsaw that took me out. OWGs have zero social merit.Haumana wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 2:14 pmOk, Dr. Hash. You’d be the first person to ever achieve fame from an Internet forum. So there’s that.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 2:57 pmDude, I’m doing it right this minute.
