I manage a series of enterprise ventures to be revenue streams to fund my lifestyle without having to work for someone else.

I haven't read The Third Reich in Power yet, just the first two, Coming and At War.

In terms of Nazi Germany, my wife is German, her grandmother was a teenager in Nazi Germany during the thirties and the war, so I gleaned a lot of ground truth from her, tho she is dead now.

The one aspect of German life she imparted to me was struggle to make their way in a collapsed economy, and then Hitler coming as the savior getting the economy going again, then ecstasy when he defeated France, then catastrophe when he invaded the Soviet Union.

Another story was that the British bombed her town and every house on her street was destroyed except hers, and then all the other girls hated her because they were in the streets while she still had a house.

She married very young to a guy in the Waffen-SS, then he was killed on the Eastern Front.

Then she dated a guy in the Luftwaffe, but he was killed by the Americans, shot him down, didn't get out, he was flying an FW 190, shot down by a P-51, his buddies told her what happened.

She said that when Operation Barbarossa was announced, all the boys were ecstatic, all the girls said they were doomed and the Russians would come and rape them to death.

She lived in the west, so the Russians didn't come, it was the Allies, but she said she and all the girls were hiding from the allied soldiers, because they were raping girls too.

She said the Allies were brutes, they were drunk, they were in a rage, and they were going around taking it out on any German who crossed their path.
