We need to know more about this person before we do anything else if my sources are correct. He was soon to be a divorcee, and he also had a lawsuit against a casino since 2011.

He had his pilot licenses, and I've been having a hard time finding much else, but if this other person is a "companion" then knowing more about her would be ideal, especially since one of the last shootings we had in the US had a "female companion" as well...

This could be a lone shooter type concept, which I hope it is... but if not, we are going to have larger problems sooner than later.

You have to have a class III license to legal own a full auto. Also I don't think you can own a full auto produced after 1986, I could be wrong on that, so they will be less of them as time moves on. Also this is an old technology so it does not matter what laws you pass, if a nut job wants to do what this guy did there is no real way of stopping it. Like others have said, I would like to know if he was on meds and if so what were they? Do not be surprised if trump signs some kind of gun ban in the near future. It would not shock me in the least bit.

You can have a Class III, but depending on the state, it won't matter, it's illegal under all but a handful of circumstances. I live in Mass, trust me I've looked into it.

You hear the audio if the shots? It sounded like an extended clip being reloaded a few times, or weapons swapped out... to me the casualties don't all have to be gun related, people stormed a fence down, they could be injury/death-by-proxy.
