What evidence are you relying on to assert this conclusion?
Or is it just that your ideology demands that you believe this?
Western civilization has done well enough so far. I'm no expert, but I assume this didn't happen with a total lack of adversity.
And, I did say I know it isn't a forgone conclusion. You might be surprised how little my ideology demands.
Until now, Western Civilization has just been us, the people who created and maintained it.. you know.. people of European ancestry..
You can't argue that upending the demographic basis of our civilization won't result in chaos because the West has done just fine for thousands of years when for thousands of years there have been no major demographic shifts outside our race.
And even there.. one can point out the huge demographic shifts we did see, which did result in total collapse, such as the German migration into Gaul, Britannia, and even the Italian peninsula. It took a long time for Germanic people to become civilized, and they were within the broader category of the Caucasian race..
Which is where Spencer had a point. This latest iteration of western civilization began in northern Europe in the middle ages, and is based on Germanic peoples. Something happened to us in the middle ages that allowed for this civilization to emerge. I think a good case has been made that this "something" was a genetic adaptation that happened as a result of us constantly grappling with the Malthusian trap.
