The most frustrating aspect of the media handling this election is they are totally clueless.

Clueless as to what hurts/helps Trump as well as themselves.

I chalk it up to the lack of competition. When content does not matter because you own all your competitors this is the shit you get.

People just sit back and hire their friends and enjoy the after-show parties because that's what all 3 of their competitors are doing.

There is a thread with ~100 comments from people I know criticizing The Wall, how stupid it is, how ignorant America is, so racist, white people bad brown good, etc. All emotion -- and not a single comment where someone explains WHY the Wall is stupid/ignorant/racist. Everyone is just so intelligent and so above it all that they need not even articulate a single simple reason. The smug levels are dangerously high.

Now I'm not much of a supporter of a physical wall (though I am pro-border enforcement, and if I lived In AZ I might have a different opinion and I acknowledge that), but I can at least give reasons and don't pretend that I know better than everyone else, esp. those in border states.

These folks repulse me and force me further and further away from the left. Clueless.

I think of it as the corollary to virtue signaling: intelligence signaling.

These people basically ascribe to one ideology the label of "smart", and everything else as "ignorant". If you don't agree with their ideology, then you are ignorant and need to be educated (most likely with insults, slogans, and cat pics).

This causes them much trouble in that, by definition, the "smart club" must remain exclusive as the in-clique. So they don't really try to convince people of their ideology. They repeat these broad, lazy slogans while insulting people to boost their ego.

And they still don't see that a huge portion of America has turned against them.

Seriously though, when your argument is just so sound and is the only 'logical' interpretation, why bother with actual reasons. The burden of proof is never on them, it's on you.

I wonder how unique I am in wanting a large portion of our media coverage discussing the kidnapping in Chicago and what it means for our society.

That is some serious third world shit that carries huge risks to our society if it continues.

If people of influence in minority communities don't cool the flames they risk real danger for our nation.

I remain amazed that there was so little retaliatory protest against HRC in response to the Trump disruptions.

When everything is so obvious, those who cannot immediately comprehend and consequently agree are immediately deemed sub-human idiots. No room for discussion or analysis.
