I was under the impression that one of the things drawing support to trump was that he could fund himself, and people resented that super pacs and the like were boxing in policy. Perhaps those are just the pearls I choose to clutch.
/sigh
Obvious concern trolling is obvious, Han-Mon.
From me or from the Intercept?
Both.
For what it is worth, I genuinely cling to the shreds of Trump's positions that could unite parts of the right and left in this here country of ours.
MAGA has already united parts of America, enough to hold a coalition from the far right to the near centre, and the only real Ideology is MAGA, thus, concern trolling is pointless, so save your breath.

I'm just bored with concern trolling, it's so Dan Carlin Forum, here on the new frontier, we should just liberate ourselves to say that we are partisan as can be, and make no apologies for it.

Well, as far as the Era of Trump is concerned, I am excited that he has the room to move, and a skill set that sets him apart from other politicians. But I am also reflexively suspicious of money and power.
I think on the political affiliation chart I scored about as far to the bottom left as is possible, and I will always argue from that position.

And I will always shoot you in the virtual knees with rhetorical baton rounds for it. No need for all that "neo-prudentism" mumbo jumbo. That was all George W. Bush/Iraq War related anyways, Common Sense is so 2006. Dan was exposed as a cuck, his base is all liberals.

You're not my enemy until you cross the border, at this juncture, we are merely ideological opponents.

Trump has broadened his search for secretary of state to other people. Tells something...
Rudy "Drag Queen" Giuliani doesn't cut it, which makes absolute sense. Why would be the question with him.
Romney... to much for the MAGA diehards?
Petraeus... again a similar scandal relived again like Hillary's emails?
Bolton... too neocon?
New names given:
Retired Adm. James Stavridis: A four-star who spent more than 30 years in the Navy, the current dean of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts and a onetime possible VP candidate for Hillary Clinton. A senior Trump transition official told ABC News that the team is considering him for secretary of state. Stavridis' office told ABC News, "At the request of the Trump transition team, Adm. Stavridis will meet with President-elect Trump on Thursday of this week in New York. There has been no discussion of a position in the Trump administration."
Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman: A former governor of Utah and a onetime GOP presidential candidate, he served as the ambassador to Singapore under President Bill Clinton and ambassador to China under President Barack Obama. A senior Trump transition official told ABC News that Huntsman has come up as a possibility for secretary of state; former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski told the "ABC Powerhouse Politics" podcast last week that Huntsman was in the mix.
ExxonMobile CEO Rex Tillerson: The Texas oil executive is scheduled to visit Trump Tower in New York for a meeting with the president-elect on Tuesday. A senior transition official told ABC News he is under consideration for secretary of state. Tillerson, who has worked at Exxon for more than 40 years, has been the CEO since 2006. He has no formal diplomatic experience. According to various news reports, Tillerson supports the Paris climate agreement.
Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia: One of the most conservative Democrats in the Senate, Manchin has been mentioned by Trump as worth a look for secretary of state, a senior Trump transition source told ABC News. But it's not clear whether he is a serious contender for that position. ABC News previously reported Manchin as more likely under consideration for energy secretary.
