Re: The Left Does not Reason
That's not avionics, guy. You are not an engineer.
That's just the facts. If you had any idea the process that goes into developing code for something like a space shuttle, you'd understand what I am telling you. But you are not an engineer and you didn't go to college. You have no idea what it is your missing.
I fully support deescalating the credentials boom in fields like IT where a college education was never needed in the first place. But engineering is another matter.
Last I read when I worked down there in the Space Coast area, NASA and United Space Alliance were spending on average about $1500 per line of code.
int x = delta_v * c;
^^^ $1500

Yeah, it's called sub-contracting. Something you obviously aren't accustomed to.Speaker to Animals wrote:That's not avionics, guy. You are not an engineer.

He clearly went to college. A 2-year degree is a degree, despite what your HR friends might think.Speaker to Animals wrote:That's not avionics, guy. You are not an engineer.

I worked in the industry, TC. I understand what subcontracting is. You did NOT write avionics code. Don't be ridiculous. You don't have an education.
You didn't even describe avionics. You described some pet project, probably an intern project at best. There is no aircraft flying around on the code you wrote.

Did I say that an airplane is flying around with my code? No. I said I was tasked to design and produce a fluid dynamics testing system for NASA.Speaker to Animals wrote:I worked in the industry, TC. I said that I programmed for that, NASA required it to test out aerodynamics for a rocket they were testing out, so please... cry me a river when you say I didn't program.

You responded to a post about avionics stating that you wrote avionics code. What the hell do you think that word means!?
This thread has reached peak retard. No, you cannot become an engineer without a college degree. You just illustrated why.

Good to know, guess I'll tell my old boss that now runs said company that he could t do what he did for 20 years because you say so.Speaker to Animals wrote:You responded to a post about avionics stating that you wrote avionics code. What the hell do you think that word means!?

Re: The Left Does not Reason
Now that my pain is manageable, I am thinking about getting back in. I could easily qualify for that flight controls job.
Redmond sucks, though.
