The rebels were the ones using chlorine mostly.
No, it's the Syrian Air Force, the rebels don't have a chemical delivery system, because they don't have artillery and they don't have aircraft, you can't deliver a barrel bomb laced with chlorine, when all you have is technicals with machine guns mounted on the back, so get real.

Well you could say he nominated Gorsuch, but as if we needed Trump to do that, you could have elected me President and I would have nominated Gorsuch for you, but other than that, he's gotten exactly jack shit done, and now he's clearly starting to feel the heat, and like every other President before him who has felt the heat, he's pulling the phony war military distraction lever, the go to move, for every POTUS whoever was, with the possible exception of Washington. Who knew?

Heh. Massa Hamilton had Gen. Washington all lined up on that account. Pittsburgh rednecks learnt that lesson right off.

Yeah they do. They have been manufacturing that shit en masse and launching it from artillery.

Which part of a vicious dictator using terror against his own people do you struggle to understand?
A man who regularly barrel bombs families and has used chemicals on them before.
I realise it suits your narrative to make up conspiracy theories about your hero being duped into bombing Assad's airfield with false stories about chemical attacks but often the simplest explanation is the truth.
Sure, Trump has exploited this tragedy to suit his own purpose but that does not mean the tragedy was not the fault of Assad. Whether he accidentally bombed a rebel store or as seems more likely deliberately dropped chemicals he was still attacking his own civilian population against the rules of war as set by international organisations such as the UN.
You can argue that it was not the responsibility of the US to act against Assad but don't try and excuse Assad from the guilt of killing Syrian babies.....
There are some Neocons I want you to meet. I dont you know your stance on the Iraq war but substitute Assad for Saddam and you are saying what they said verbatim. Im sure if we get heavily involved in Syria it will turn out differently than every other conflict we injected ourselves in the region. How funny is it that the former veterans in this thread are warning against this war, but the sackless progressives are calling for blood.
You don't know my stance on involvement in Syria either because I've not stated it. My comments have been aimed at dispelling the myth that Assad would not use chemical weapons against his own people because he is so close to ''winning''.
Interesting that you are prepared to label me a ''sackless progressive'' without knowing how I feel about Western involvement in the war but it isn't the first time I have been strawmanned in this manner.
Go back through the thread and see if you can find me approving or disapproving of military action by the US in Syria.........
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Assad is definitely not close to winning, the Russians have come in and held the line, but they haven't been able to achieve anything decisive, Russian airpower is allowing the regime to hang on by its finger nails, but only just, wherever they have been able to take back territory, the rebels basically take some other area, and the Russians fly around in their attack helicopters playing wack-a-mole, but the Russians are still not going to get too deep into this, they're propping him up, but they are not sticking their necks out to the point of winning it for him, because really, it's beyond their means and they well know it.
