Re: Europe Boring Until it's Not
Anyway, it seems that there's going to be another Scottish referendum. To either stay with Britain, or the EU..
At least that means I can post confused Braveheart memes for a few months.

Way back in the day, I took a class on "The World Wide Web." It was very funny--the professor--highly enthusiastic--thought everyone would suddenly become smarter. He argued that with all these facts at our fingertips, human intelligence would advance by leaps and bounds.
Now you want to talk about honour killings and the Murder of a popular Muslim shopkeeper because he promoted Easter?
You are scraping the barrel in your attempt to prove the UK is falling apart because of the Muslim invasion.
So now one "terrorist attack" in a decade is enough to show that the UK is being conquered?

White supremacists and anti-government radicals have accounted for almost twice the number murders in the United States than Muslim jihadis in the years following the September 11 2001 terror attacks, a recent Washington research center study revealed.
The report came a week after 21-year-old Dylann Roof, the suspect of a deadly attack inside a Charleston church that killed nine people, posted his racist manifesto online. Roof, who is now facing charges of federal hate crime, also posted photos with white supremacist and Nazi symbolism.

Nope, firstly the new referendum has to be approved by Westminster and the PM has ruled it out completely as it was defeated only 2 years ago and secondly Scotland does not have a strong enough economy to comply with the conditions for entry to the EU.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Anyway, it seems that there's going to be another Scottish referendum. Nice try but no cigar SNP.

Seriously though, why would Scotland wait for the British Parliament to approve a vote on leaving Britain? Sounds ridiculous.

Interesting interview:
I see the peanut gallery has taken to posting pictures and insults after losing another debate.

Claim: there hasn't been a terror attack in the UK since 7/7/07.
Counter: yes there has--here's proof.
Claim: one murder in ten years.
Counter: there's more--here's proof.
If fairy tales were really true, you could spin straw into gold, but all you can come up with at current market value is strawmen. The facts are at your fingertips, but you cherish your opinions more.
Rock on with your bad selves!

Because Scotland is part of the UK and continues to be subject to rule from Westminster. The Scottish parliament in Holyrood has limited powers over matters such as revenue and spending but does not have the power to start another referendum.GrumpyCatFace wrote: Seriously though, why would Scotland wait for the British Parliament to approve a vote on leaving Britain? All that is likely to happen is further delays to Brexit.

All that ever happens with these two characters when somebody proves them wrong is that they try to bury the fact under a few pages of nonsense posts. It's every time.

Counter: peanut allergies have killed more people than Islamic terrorists since 9/11
So there has been one terrorist attack in 10 years and this means the UK is being overrun by Jihadis?
Get a grip you are becoming hysterical......

Wrong about what? Britain is not being overrun by Islamic terrorists as you claim, one attack by deranged psychopaths does not prove you right......Speaker to Animals wrote:Alexander PhiAlipson wrote:Claim: there hasn't been a terror attack in the UK since 7/7/07.
