Luckily, there seems to be a lot of backlash.

Some of them are starting to realize they have behaved like adult children all this time:
The single most distressing thing to me about Grace’s story is that the only person with any agency in the story seems to be Aziz Ansari. Grace is merely acted upon.

It's almost as if the Ten Commandments were right. Weird.

Something I was watching had a guy prude shaming the rape hoax culture by comparing it to his generation (free love), and the solution was to suck it up and get back to meaningless hookup culture.Speaker to Animals wrote:It's almost as if the Ten Commandments were right. Weird.

It's largely Victim Feminism, as many decent guys as bad buys will go down, but in the end it will harm women the most.Speaker to Animals wrote:doc_loliday wrote:https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/15/opin ... sment.html

But it isn't just feminists, and there are lots of feminists who scoff at the idea that they should play victim all the time like a damsel in distress who is merely a helpless object acted upon by men who all possess agency, which women somehow lack. It's women in general who capitalize on hypoagency to get rewards. Think of how most women try to elicit support from men to go after other men or give them more privileges, etc. We see it in this forum enough.
I don't think many women really understand what agency actually is.

Not really even then. Trust me. Single life for Gen X now sucks. I don't have any intention of marrying up with a busted out slut. Nor can I marry these millennial chicks because they are so childlike in mentality (probably just an age difference, honestly, since our women were pretty dingbat at that age too).clubgop wrote:Exactly a guy! Ideally, we get married early and have children early. We stay married until one person dies. That will maximize happiness and security. The secular world has the opposite opinion, however.
